I liked Matt's comment about how Mick is a control freak, Keith is uncontrollable, and that is one of the reasons they have had such a tumultuous relationship over the years. Keith readily agreed with that assessment.

Thanks for posting the MSNBC link. I had no idea Patti was going through a battle with cancer, and I'm glad to hear she's doing well. (Gawd, Keith's older than Patti, and has abused himself mightily, and she's the one who gets ill!)

Thanks for the link EG. Good interview. I can take or leave Matt Lauerr on any given day. But he did a good job here. Touching on the Mick/Keith relationship without the tabloid material. But not softballing anything either.

...damage control?...hype??..first his publishers and management let the papers get the sensational headlines that go round the world..now Keith is out there telling us Mick's his greatest mate....that's show business. How sweet. Can't wait for the Mick zingers when it's a paperback!

Not sure Keith has total control over what excerpts gete released. I mean I don't think he picks and chooses. Someone gets permission to print an excerpt. They probably pick and choose what they want to print.

I heard that Keith will be interviewed on the CBS news show hosted by Charles Osgood on sunday morning at 6 am PST !....check local listings...peter

Draconian confidentiality agreements on all interviews/excerpts with legitimate press before official release. They approved and orchestrated the entire message. Who took the tidbits then and ran with more as it spread they could not control....but the initial info came from KR and his management

Keith looks well, yes, and speaks well, as usual.

It's always funny to see those clips made by TV stations. They use versions of songs that's not from the actual footage. There was a clip of Satisfaction from Shine A Light, but the audio sounded like a version from the Steel Wheels Tour.
