"likeable" and "80's rock" should never be allowed in the same sentence....
It's too bad you moved, you could of caught their free show at the Santa Cruz boardwalk. If you hurry back you might be able to catch Survivor though.Quote

"Survivor (Eye of the Tiger)"
Play it at a party in 2010 and you'll get lots of laughs...

Did you know the singer from Survivor is the singer from those Bud Light "Real Men of Genius" ads?

Never had any use for Loverboy and their ersatz Foreigner ilk. I was given a review copy of their first album and tried to use it as a Frisbee. The straight edge nearly tore a tendon in my thumb!
As for worthwhile bands from the 80's, check out...
Replacements
Husker Du
Jason and the Scorchers
The Blasters
X
Black Flag
Early REM
Minutemen
There was plenty of excellent rock 'n' roll bands in the early '80's. They just didn't get much mainstream airplay.

Or a Loverboy thread in this site...Just kidding, no way I'm for censorship, I'm just surprised to read this stuff here...About a horrible 80's band that is.
