i love little feat .one of my all time favorite groups .puts a smile on my face .makes me think of the big easy .caught them in the big easy way back when the municipal auditorium was still rocking before they made it into some casino ,this was during jazz fest on a saturday night with two openers which were rickie lee jones and mac rabineau himself aka dr. john. little feat did not take the stage till one am in the morning the start time on the ticket was 10:00pm .that was really cool .besides that i have a bunch of there albums and have seen them live so many times .highly recomend this group to buy there music and if they are in your neck of the woods by all means go and see them .you will not be disapointed .

they are headlining the final/4th day of the Portland Waterfront Blues Fest this year, but, alas, we're only going for the first 3 days...now i've really got da bloooze...
I envy you. When I first discovered Little Feat, I was 16, they had just come out with their double live album taped in DC and they were unbelievably hot. My uncle turned me on to them. Every time I hear them, it reminds me of him. He was only 4 years older than me and he's gone now.Quote

I have recently got into this amazing band. What I find shocking is how much their first two records sound like The Stones. If I didn't know better I would swear those were some great lost Stones gems.

How are they these days minus Lowell George? I'm thinking about catching them live this summer.

They've been 'minus Lowell' for over thirty years but they're still one of the best live bands anywhere. The set list is never the same though they almost always do "Dixie Chicken" in one of two arrangements, a 10-12 minute version or one that can push half an hour. If they start vamping on Miles Davis' "So What," you'll know you're in for a super-sized portion of "'Chicken."
My only (minor) complaint with the current version of 'Feat is singer Shaun Murphy's barroom blues-belter presentation can make them seem like a different band when she's featured.
Their tickets can be pricey but most promoters have learned their bar-ring more than makes up for the cost of Little Feat SO it should still be affordable. Go. Just GO!
