hmmm the past decade eh. there have been many jewels all over the place. But the new popular bands that abound are tuneless, dull, hype. a search here and there always throws up good kicks I think. esp from the small labels..

this is a sample of the new that i have returned to many many times, granted many are v established.

Lou Reed / Metal Machine Trio - creation of the universe
Dylan - Love and Theft
Brian Eno - another day on earth
RTX - Transmaniacon
MGMT - Ornacular Spectacular
Howling Hex - All night Fox
Cat Power - You are Free
Tv on the radio - return to cookie mountain
Grace Jones -- Hurricane
Bowie - Heathen

but to be honest all lists appearing etc will be the same.

I gave ABB another listen last week....and my favourite bit is still that key change in neocon! back to the shelf for that one.
