thank you Rank Stranger

on that plane to Florida, Stanley Booth quotes Mick this way:

"If one does what he does for God, or the Good," he said, looking tired and pale,
then I haven't been able to find anybody doing anything better - certainly not in politics -
than what I'm doing, or anybody better to do it with."

Another 1969 rare photo care of my mate downunder.
A band is on stage but who? Can't make any band member out as the shot is taken too far away.
Is it the Stones or one of the support acts?

Cheers,
Eleanor

Yeah.....and even better on vinyl...I guess those sessions will surface in 40 years, when all of us are dead - and nobody cares.....so there's hope

Lots of cool pics in here. Thanks! I most like the MSG stage/audience shots. There was an intense, almost claustrophobic feeling of excitement in the arena show I saw and those pics recall that feeling. The band surrounded on the small stage, connected to the audience and vice versa. Many shots show Jagger at his most charming...teasing and playful. He's said that this tour was his favorite and that he was nervous about it. But you could not tell from the performances in spite of some equipment and sound problems.

The short recording from the Saville Theatre show is an overlooked gem. I'd put that show on my wish list for a full recording.

Another shot from one of the MSG concerts. Photo By Phil Feehaw.

And a shot from Palm Beach taken very close to the same time (& from a similar position) as Ethan Russell's well known Palm Beach colour photo.
I think the photo was taken by Ken Davidoff......Hee Hee.
Cheers,
ER

Here are a series of Jagger shots taken by Baron Wolman at one of the Oakland 9th November 1969 shows.
