Amused
Rockman posted a lot of those scans in other threads, you just need to find 'em.
Dear Amused, one of the reasons I started this thread was so one could find 1969 photographs all in the one place.
Then one wouldn't have to trawl though endless posts as your comment "you just need to find 'em." suggests.
You may prefer to be all over IOR N Roll like a mad woman's breakfast searching through umpteen posts tracking down certain items, but as for me (& I'm sure other's) one stop shopping is far easier ;-)
And I was thinking more along the lines of some different shots than the "same old, same old" pictures.
When "Let It Bleed" (the book not the album) was released the net was flooded with the same batch of photos used for the various press releases for the book.
What I'd like to see are 1969 photos from old magazines, newspapers of the time or in fact any 1969 photos that are not commonly seen, and of course one's from "Let It Bleed" that non owners haven't seen.
Sometime in 1970 I purchased a yank magazine about the 1969 US tour entitled "The Rolling Stones Discover America " but it disappeared long ago. All I have left are a few photos from it that I glued onto the back of my original "Stones MSG" LP.
When I was thinking of starting this thread I was hoping that someone might still have a copy & post some of the pages on this thread.
So a big thanks to Rank Stranger for doing so. Much appreciated.
In a day or so I will post some colour photos from Detroit 1969 that a friend of a friend sent to me.
Just have to track them down.
Cheers,
Eleanor

There is a photo from Altamont that has been posted on here before (Can't find it) it is black and white and shows Mick and Keith with loads of people all around the stage- thats one of my favourites- you can see the atmosphere in that one
Best Bill that's in this magazine:Quote
Palace Revolution 2000
What I really love is ANY shot with Bill looking much a "Rolling Stone". Like when he has make-up on, or does not have his pants hiked up too far.
