seems to be official! RIP michael! probably a better place for him....

Well I feel bad, even though I was not thrilled with the man he'd become since around 2000. I still believe that he was a good man deep down, very childlike because his vicious father robbed him of his childhood. I can understand how his life got so screwed up and I feel bad that he could not have just moved ahead, on the track he was on in 1982 after THRILLER turned the world on! Rest In Peace Michael. What a terrible waste of tremendous talent.

This is very sad news.

He was a one-off; his contribution to music was immense.

The whole thing seems unreal, it's very difficult to realize that he is dead... This is such a weird feeling and I'm not even a very big fan...

Although I have nener been a fan of his I am shocked. He was a talented popartist, he did some great records (especially those with Quincy Jones) and he suffered from some truly disgusuing campaigns against him. Even some weeks ago some horrible people tried to make money with accusations against him. Michael Jackson deserves respect. Very sad news.

So glad, that I saw Michael Jackson live in concert on the "Bad World Tour" more than 20 years ago. He was a really great show act to that time!

More than 750 million records sold... I hope he will be remembered for his great contribution to music!

I was not really a fan of his and never bought any of his records BUT I always thought he was a massive talent and i was hoping he would put on all these concerts and prove what a fantastic performer he was. Will never know now if it could have happened. RIP

HRMMM....OK.
I understand where some of you guys are coming from with your sadness over jacko's death, he was human, and no human is perfect. Furthermore, growing up MJ was one of my all time favorite Pop stars, I looked up to him, loved his music, talent, and dancing....oh and that dang glove of course.
BUT.....all that was shattered with the bizzare physical appearance transformation and ESPECIALLY the private life concerning "allegations" surrounding his molestation or otherwise strange relationships with young children.
SO, All I will say is...I believe in karma and you can add to yourself and the infinite energy of existence positively and negatively...one lifts you up and the other pulls you down, humbles you, keeps you static. Now, pedophilia may be a disease not fully understood at this point, but still....WHY ARE ALL OF YOU SO MOURNFUL FOR SUCH A MONSTER, LIAR, AND FAKE?! Karma gave him what he deserved..who knows how badly he has scared those children and their families....even the families that may have given in to him for money...which would scar a kid even worse if discovered later in life your parents gave you to a wealthy person for his sick play thing.
So, I say good riddance to such potential that lead to SUCH utter dissappointment.

It's fitting to say that I'm in a State Of Schock. Michael Jackson really was an amazing talent that really had the IT-factor, like Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Paul McCartney etc., and unlike most other pokerfaces out there (Lady Gaga, Rihanna and all those wannabes). I was never a big fan of his, but there certainly were some great songs in between.

The first I remember seeing of Michael Jackson ever was this song. It was included in some John Lennon memorial show hosted by Michael Douglas. My dad had it on VHS and I remember thinking that he was so weird and tight and that the guitarist looked sexy.

There is a humane element that is reserved for death, but the mourning is greatly limited on account of what I believe are the heinous crimes he committed against kids, and their trauma is deserving of more sympathy than what I can offer him.

i'm not shocked or surprised in the least...i will say rest in peace though as he never seemed to be at peace with himself when alive...
