They're saying he's in a really bad way - wasn't breathing when the medics arrived.

From Fox News: Michael Jackson has been rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, according to multiple reports.

The legendary singer, 50, reportedly went into cardiac arrest and had to receive CPR in the ambulance. TMZ spoke with Joe Jackson, his father, who said he is not doing well.

According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, paramedics responded to a 911 call at around 12: 26 p.m. PDT. He was reportedly not breathing at the time of their arrival.

Joe Jackson also told E! News that he was "not sure what's wrong."

A rep for Jackson was unavailable for comment. FOXNews.com has not yet confirmed this information.

Not to be cold hearted about this but this dude was a litte off the center mark. Great entertainer. Crazy as a loon. Don't forget all of the other things he did that kept him in the headlines. No need to mention them here . So lets try and not make this guy out to be a saint because he wasn't . So lets get back to bashing the Stones for there Tickets prices and starting rumurs about them touring or not touring or should the or shouldn't they smiling smiley

terribly sad - put aside, just for a moment, his personal life, and
consider his contribution to popular culture.

His family are in my thoughts, today.

He was a brilliant artist and his popularity touched many generations and the whole planet .BUT as you say,I can't put apart his private life and the pedophilia charges.

What a mess and a waste for such a talentuate man.
NB :I know it's not very nice to say about that but first of all when I heard the news I thought it could be a marketing story before the O2 shows .

Indeed, he was one of the greatest entertainers ever.
I think he's doing better now, really resting in peace. A state he's been longing for since centuries ... poor boy, sleep well.

Whether you are a fan or not, it is a sad day. Glad I saw him perform a few times back in the 80's and 90's.

Wonder what people will do with their O2 tickets. Keep them as mementos? Sell them as mementos? Return them for a refund?

We haven't even been sent the tickets yet! They weren't due to go out until 7-10 days beforehand.

R.I.P. love and lights to him and all goods for his children, they are too young to loose a father.

Is it very shocking to say that I don't care much? People die every day and I didn't even like that guy at all. I don't wish death on anyone, but I'm not writing RIP here just for the sake of it.

I'm bummed...Yeah, the dude was strange. No question about that. I blame his dad. He was a mean, sadistic prick. F you, Joe. Doesn't condone his behavior, but it does help explain it.

Dude made some great music. Jackson 5 stuff was great. "Off the Wall" is an amazing CD. You can question the guy's sanity, but it's tough to deny his talent.

RIP, MJ. Wish you had a chance to redeem yourself.

Besides the mourning, I see some incoherencies the timing of the next weeks, would he be still alive.

MJ was in LA. The O2 dates were due to start London in 17 days, and rumor was MJ was incredibly demading for the backup musicians and design of the "final curtain" show - I read two week ago he wanted for instance not less than six drummers, young, healthy and from various races - insane things like that -

So how could he have the show ready within two weeks?

How far the stage design, etc ?

I could not have imagined I would miss the guy, but still, I feel kinda strange today.

Michael Jackson never had a normal childhood, and behaved somehow like a child during all his life.
His life is a life I wish nobody else will ever have to experience.

Like many artists, his best and most creative period was far behind him, but he brought some great songs and videoclips.

Sad news. A genius musically with an unhappy personal life. I'm REALLY not attempting humour when I say that he came across as someone who was not happy in his own skin. RIP

Off the Wall was so fantastic! one of the best pop albums ever. I was not much of a fan of his other work with the exception of some of the Jackson 5 early records, but for this one album alone he has to be considered one of the greats

They said on TV he wasn't ready at all for the shows, he fired the musicians ,even he didn't want really to get on stage again.

Last thing :"he died from a cardiac arrest" .Quite silly,'cause when you die,it's always from a cardiac arrest.
He had a skin cancer,right ?

What depresses me is to imagine the day I'll hear from the breaking news something happened to Keith sad smiley
