Beautiful item (as all the p33l series), high printing quality booklet with lyrics, and long version of "Tell Me".

Look after the P33L 25015 reference for the N°2 album.

Still a disgrace that Klein and co didn't see fit to release No 2 along with the UK Aftermath and Between The Buttons in 2002.

The UK debut was released in '84, but neglected for '86 editions.

Ignored for the 2002 edition too... keeping those old releases essential.

The 1984 release of No. 1 can be found in used record stores or on the internet (for example booklooker in Germany where I got mine a while ago for 4€ including shipping) without paying too much.

Of course, but careful, some pressings are to avoid as they didn't used the best masters.

The very first pressing from 1984 is quite rare. If you find one at 4€, let me know!...

Thanks Jos, when was the second pressing of Rolling Stones issued ?, I've had it for years not sure how long but possibly 15 years maybe even longer.
No 2 I got a couple of years ago , it is slightly different to the one you show , it has Made In Japan on the left hand side under the compact disc logo , is this maybe the second pressing.

My "cheap" pressing of "The Rolling Stones" is not remastered. It's in Mono. But I really like the Mono-sound.

I was a bit disapointed when I got the Japanese No. 2 CD as a few of the songs fade in and miss a tiny part of the intro.
Also, a few of the tracks were in Stereo whereas the original LP was only released in Mono.

I made my own CDR of the album using "Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" from the japanese CD, and all the other tracks from early cds of "Rolling Stones Now", "12 x 5" and the Hot Rocks compilations.
Apart from having to adjust the individual volumes sligtly, this seems to be the best solution for a digital version of the album, as none of the intros were ruined by fade-ins.

However, if you have a vinyl deck, there is no better way to hear the album than on an original UK Decca Mono LP, or a decent vinyl rip to CDR.
