'kis tin cut in Cannes.' Why on earth would that be the lyric?

You are erroneous in your assumption.
The phrase 'kis tin' appears only once in this discussion.

Mick is an educated man who was living in France at the time. If the lyric was 'Cannes', surely he would have pronounced it correctly as 'Can'.

Didn't he do exactly that?

I've always heard it as 'Can'.

Yeah, Keith's background - or actually co-lead - vocals are probably the best he has ever done. I don't think rock and roll can be sang any better than it is done here by these two cats. THey just sound so @#$%& brilliant, so damn fresh, edgy and sexy, to put it mildly...

Haha... I was about to write that everytime I listen to "Casino Boogie" that photo from the record sleeve pops up to mind...

Sexy, slithering, barrel house blues. Fantastic and I agree, one of the defining tunes of EOMS. Sounds so simple, but it was so complex, probably one of the hardest songs to do live. They never did it. THe lyrics are a snapshot of their life of exile. The slinking guitars that go around each other, like snakes. Taylor is unrelenting. The slide is trance brilliance. Great track that Jagger often dismisses.

Thanks DP - yes found it.
Super rare image.
It finally answers the question nobody in the universe ever has asked himself (except me, I assume), whether the kitchen at Nellcote had an extra entrance from the hall and down to the basement.
Anita looks freaking radiant, but yes, perhaps a bit less self assure or not knowing the photo being taken I guess. Love it.

Perfect summation. It's just beautiful
