You might have to scrape me off the floor at the end of the tour, but it'll be really good scrapings. - Mick Jagger

Ditch the long socks as well, too much weight.

"Long socks?" I thought those were prosthetic legs!!! That's why I donated to the cause, I felt sorry for Adrian. Who wears long socks to a race?

Keep you head up high Nanker. Lots of people are beating cancer these days, you should be one of 'em.

Compression socks, perhaps? They're becoming something of a fad in running these days.

I think Paula Radcliffe wears them. Maybe Adrian was trying to keep up with her?

Compression socks for sure.

They're not a fad, as such.
They're a godsend.
They prevent calf muscle vibration - which can prevent injury and alleviate
cramp. They also acclerate recovery after a long run.
Couldn't do without them.

I had to wear those socks when i was laid up for 3 months.

As for the cancer, it was the complications with the surgery that nearly saw me off in the end.

Apologies adrian i did not realise the medical side of it. Just shows you get out of the loop when i had to give up that particular sporting activity.
