Review by Werner Kehl, Berlin

Four of us with about 200 shows worth of Rolling Stones concert experience drove to Hamburg wednesday afternoon. Skies were pretty threatening all day and it did pour down once shortly before the concert but thankfully it remained dry right up until the end of the gig.

Too bad Amy Winehouse didn't make it, best recovery wishes to her from here. Starsailor were more than just adequate fill-in, their version of Ring Of Fire much appreciated all 'round.

We sat seven seats in from the rail on Ronnie's side, 4th row. All around us many familiar faces from other shows in all the years; and then there were those in iorr.org t-shirts right up at the very front...

The first third of the show was a clear winner by the modest standard of yours truly (5 different songs as compared to Nijmegen, the only other show I witnessed this leg of the Tour 2007 which I thought was a pretty good concert). The big highlight early on (I think all would agree): Midnight Rambler! I've been privileged to to have been in the presence of a few amazing versions (namely Olympia '95 and Stuttgart '99) and this was as good as it gets!!

And although I was too far away and had a bad angle to what was happening on the b-stage, I sensed things were really happening for everybody present in the stadium this evening!!!

On the home-stretch, this band was nothing short of fantastic with Keith during JJF the best he ever gets!!!!

What a difference a year makes, best show (in my humble opinion) in ages!!!!!

We had good luck... the first drops of rain just fell down when the concert was finished... the Stones show was great, but as a German woman I may be allowed to say that the security staff was really crazy... after the second short video I took one came and forbade me... I made some small dancing steps, suddenly a staff member came and told me to stop, we went some centimeters beside the seats, one came and told uns not to do. Although they tried much to forbid each kind of fun, we just had fun and enjoyed the fantastic evening!!

Review by Valerio, Pisa, Italy

The one in Hamburg was the third concert of the Stones i've seen and to do that i took the plane from Pisa (italy) where i live with my girlfriend and we flew to Hamburg for one night just to watch the show. Well.. the show was amazing and it deserved every euro we've spent to be there. The setlist was great and for me was the first time with 'Ruby tuesday' 'Love is strong' and 'Rocks off' and i'm really happy they played this wonderful songs with a great feeling, expecially on 'Ruby tuesday' they emotioned me and all the fantastic crowd of the arena.

With Mick in a perfect shape with a great voice and a wounderful performance with the harmonica and Charlie great like always, i 've noticed that now the stones have a main guitarist and he is Ronnie because he played early the most important riffs and solos while Keith seemed far from his best performances. I mean i love Keith but yesterday he didn't play so well. By the way there were no mistakes and every song sounded perfectly and everyone did enjoy a lot the show.

Mick spoke in German and at one point all the crowd was laughing but i didn't understand a word of what he said because i can't speak german. The magic thing for me is that i was very close to the stage and i've been so lucky that for two times i catched the plectrum that Ron threw! One has the date of the concert in Warzawa 2006 and the other the one in Frankfurt 2006. I will keep both for all the rest of my life to remember one of the best concert or maybe the best i've never been.

I even talked with two persons with the IOOR t-shirt and i have to thank my girlfriend Serena to make everything possible. Rolling Stones is still the best rock n roll band of the planet. Long live to them!

Review by Jan Wlfer

Geht noch was?

Jagger flstert, schreit und natrlich ?Everybody in Hamburg go WOOOOOOWWWWW!?
