Quotemakemeburnthecandle QuoteNate QuoteAdams Are there any European bands planning to tour in the US in 2021? It seems work permit/visa might be a problem at the moment. This should be no issue by September and they may open up the border much sooner possibly even later this month.More and more countries are now beginning to reopen. Even Australians may very soon be permitted to travel to cer

QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotetimbernardis We don't and can't know anything now as to tour or no tour this fall. They've shown us that they only need two or three months between announcing a tour and when the tour begins. So if they plan to start in September or October and things look good a couple of months out, they may decide to go ahead. But we (and they) may not know til July o

QuoteRockman bet he'd be sworn to secrecy though. Exactly The band usually gets asked to keep a certain period "free", but with no commitment. But not always. Often we hear tour rumours before band members. Strange but true. And if Tim did know, he'd say nothing for sure. Very discreet.

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteNate Heard a rumour that the band is looking at playing 10 dates later this year in arenas in November-December taking in cities including Los Angeles,Chicago,Miami,New York and Toronto. Nate You mean basketball arenas? The Stones generally don't play for less than 50,000 people, right? Basketball arenas only hold around 20,000. Could they make enough money off

It is his hair growing back after his medical treatment. After his first bout of cancer he said he refused chemo because he would lose his hair. This second bout clearly required chemo, but very pleased for Ronnie that its growing back and it maybe still short, but the old colour and coverage remains. ...unlike me and many other much younger than he is!

Good news that he's through this second battle. Might explain why he's been pictured with a hat-on, even indoors, in the last 9 months.

The vaccines work and reduce the risks of serious illness and death for those vaccinated to flu levels. We may get lots of infections, but nothing unusual compared to the past 100 years. You can see the results of vaccines in the UK, Israeli and even US numbers now. That means the Band and Touring Entourage will be as safe as any other year - maybe better than 2016 in South America with Zika.

Keeping fit for the Tour; might start before you think; need to complete the US Tour; things might be back to near normal by the end of the summer. Been finishing records, Obviously some hopes here but why be some specific?

The risk of getting Covid or Flu depends on how close you are to people for how long. Walking past some people for 2 or 3 minutes, perhaps with a mask, is much lower risk that standing/dancing/singing/shouting in a gig. Worse inside than outside. Here in the UK, Festivals look like they will be going ahead by late summer. But every adult will be vaccinated by then - at least those people who b

There is a large "organising committee" for the 150th anniversary - Stones manager Joyce Smyth is a member.

Looking at the photos of Keith in the Studio in New York City, I'm guessing he has already been vaccinated. Why take the risk of leaving your family compound otherwise? If in the UK, all the Stones will have had their first vaccination by now and maybe their second. latest vaccinations will be mandated by insurers as well as common sense for anyone working on, or close to, the next Tour.

Most people over 18 in the UK should be able to get the vaccine by May this year. Not guaranteed of course - many doses to be manufactured, shipped, and jabbed in our arms. It should be the same timing in the rest of Europe and North America - although today who knows what will happen in the USA. I guess it will take all year to reach all countries. Covid will be a big problem until that time,

I think the timing of a future tour (assuming the band remain healthy) depends on a CV-19 vaccine being available, and rolled-out widely. Without that there is the risk of a serious CV-19 flare-up anywhere in any country that is not totally isolated from the rest of the world. It could be in any city. Even in countries hit hard this year like Italy, only 15-20% of the population has immunity.

My first Stones gig was the 22nd May Earls Court gig. Many memories: - sending off for tickets by post, expecting nothing due to "millions of applications", then 2 arriving - driving up from Portsmouth for the evening, parking close-by, pub for a couple of drinks - crew walking around with star-shaped tour T-shirts - buying a poster (on my wall still), T-shirt (now far too s

That Harvard article is just recognition that if we want to absolutely minimise the number of people dying of Covid-19 then then the lockdown must stay in place until 5 Billion people get vaccinated. The alternative is to try and suppress the level of infection through some lockdown measures - but accept that people will get the virus and some will die. Depending on how severe the lock down/ q

I'm pretty sure the Tour will not happen this year. The cancellation will only happen when each City says "no big gatherings in May, June and July". Otherwise the Stones carry all the cancellation cost. I feel sorry for all of us, but especially the rest of the band, crew etc. who get no salary this year! If we are very lucky, from all perspectives, then the virus crisis ends in

There will always be some hysteria about new diseases, or new strains of flu or new viruses. But it is important to read the factual data, which is sometimes ignored by the politicians and the press! For these viruses, getting accurate data is tricky. To start with, not every case get recorded. Take "seasonal" flu: many of us get it and never see a doctor: we just tough it out. There
