Just read about this news- very sad and scary, yet promising to hear that he "came through with the all-clear" again.
Best wishes to Ronnie and his family!

Good news that he's through this second battle.

Might explain why he's been pictured with a hat-on, even indoors, in the last 9 months.

Good news although some aspects are confusing/worrying :

"“I’m going through a lot of problems now, but throughout my recovery, you have to let it go. And when you hand the outcome over to your higher power, that is a magic thing."

-> huh, so what "problems" is he dealing with now ?

"He said in his 2019 documentary Somebody Up There Likes Me: “They went, ‘Your lungs now are like you’d never smoked’ and I went, ‘How is that for a get out of jail free card?’”"

-> anyone with a brain know that this is complete BS

He beat a second form of cancer after lung cancer.

These Rolling Stones are made of sterner stuff.

May they all continue on in good health.

I think you will find it’s medical science that helps people in this situation.

I agree entirely, but one's piece of mind and general mental-state can surely be helped by having a faith of some kind.

Nate is of course 1000% right, but I'd point out that we all here have a common faith in The Rolling Stones.

I don't have faith in the Rolling Stones. There's definite evidence for their existence! Faith isn't necessary.

Hope Ron is able to continue for a long time to come. His playing was excellent on the last tour.

Ronniethumbs up

But also a reminder that we should not take things as a given. They don't much talk about their health (thank god) unless it is necessary - or like now, afterwards when it's (thankfully) alright.

I wonder how this might have affected to US tour last year, if there'd been no corona. The timing of Ronnie's diagnosis and treatment (whatever it was like) doesn't come through clearly. With that I don't mean being a cold-hearted fanboy (like only thing that matters is a Stones activity, never mind their health), but just an observation that we should not take anything as granted but instead, as fans, just try enjoy every minute of whatever we are given, and see its uniqueness, as long it lasts and is possible.

Love you Ronnie. You are one tough dude and I can't wait to see you again in the USA, or anywhere you choose.

I could see them touring with someone like Jeff Beck as an emergency replacement for Ronnie in case he was too ill to tour
