Quotesteffialicia QuoteProfessorWolf QuoteDoxa Quotekeefriffhards We didn't get Tell Me Straight. I'm out of here, it's Mick's show now and good luck to him, Keith has no input, it's not the Stones, i didn't sign up for that, but enjoy for all those who did. If your little Stones world is broken to pieces if Keith doesn't sing two tunes, I hope you never

QuoteGAFF Houston dress rehearsal photo posted on FB. Very basic stage design and what appear to be smaller pits. I'd post it here but it's not linked to an open URL. Any Information on which songs have been rehearsed?

QuoteSpud It would be better if all the songs up for the vote were rarely played numbers and half of them not songs that get fairly frequent airings anyway. Absolutely. In 2014 / 2015 they didn't play Paint it black regularly and every time it was in the song vote it would win against the other songs

Nothing unusual. It's almost always happens that the platinum and vip tickets that have not been sold end up for sale as normal priced tickets a few days before the show.

QuoteTopi QuoteIrix Quoteusetobesampeg BTW being I missed this just what was it?, what did you all see / hear? Some short audio recordings from the rehearsals, made from in-ear monitors (IEM), nothing more. Two complete songs in that kind of sound quality is still a helluva lot more than what has surfaced out of studio rehearsals in a long while. That's quite spectacular indeed.

QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteliddas What really surprises me of all the outtakes that leaked over the years, is how diverse the Stones could sound - both composition and playing - and how little of this diversity ended up in the albums released along the years. It always makes me wonder how many great songs have been discarded only because they were not the kind of song that a stones fan expects from

Big Ask in the age of Taylor & Pink touring bohemoths I don't have the exact figures in front of me but since 1969 something like 97% of their shows have sold out. I was at one of the two not-sold-out shows in 1994. 8 shows, for certain, in 2006 didn't sell out. That's probably it. 50 &

Btw which songs of HD did not get rehearsed? Rolling Stone Blues and Driving Me Too Hard. Some of them played Get Close, but not the whole band, methinks. Damn! I was hoping to hear Get Close, my favorite. DMTH is

Quotebauk77 ok, that makes sense. i am always wondering how on earth such recordings get to the public :-) It's an IEM recording - maybe the IEM mix of the keyboarders. Therefore it's mostly keys. They are using analog Shure In Ear Systems. If you buy one of their receivers and figure out the right frequencies that the Stones are using you can (in theory) tap off the signal. In

Quotewinos Europe has a good share of tours in the last few years, they are long overdue for a tour of Australia / NZ 11 years next year since they toured here. True but since this is a new album their home countries (Europa and America) have the first priority here. They are a British band after all.

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteVoodooLounge13 For me, the White Album has always been an overhyped record. One that could be scaled back to an excellent long EP or a very short LP, depending on how one looks at it. There are some most excellent tracks on it (Julia, Good Night, Dear Prudence), but there is also a bunch of rubbish. The thing with the White Album is no one can agree on the tracks you'

Quotetreaclefingers Quoteharlem shuffle The mixing of Exile is one of the worst mixing of a Stones album Depends on your POV. While it may not have been ideal for a normal album, it completely fit the vibe of that album. A beautiful murky mess. Yeah, imagine a clean and polished sounding Exile. Would not be Exile...

Fot me the worst thing about Rambler these days is that the "guitar solo" is just a bunch of noise. Ronnie doesn't even bother to play anything halfway melodic. He has other songs where he can shine

QuoteRisingStone So you are already there. Passion and enthusiasm…indeed. YCAGWYW rehearsed, after all. Hopefully the new setlist won’t be another warhorsefest (I’m not holding my breath, though). It all depends on the audience. If they play those five songs from HD in Houston and they are well received they will continue playing them and also try other songs from the album. If people

QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteJMARCOU A long time ago I noticed that rehearsed songs are much more appealing than songs performed on stage. I tend to agree with this. They rehearse a ton from their catalog, but when it comes to the real thing, it's puuuuuuuuuuuuuuure safety net. For me, all but a few warhorses can be retired and rotated out at this point. Break out new and different tracks
