Yes, it's grown on me...although when I try to hum it I end up humming ONNYA ;-) The big difference with songs like RJ, ONNYA and even more so "Don't Wanna Go Home" are the lyrics that are rather clever, political yet funny and unpretentious, capturing a nice "rock" spirit. It does have some sort of a purpose, it had been a long time since Mick hadn't written

"Come on Bill, we'll up your percentage in your equal partnership to 0.05% from 0.01%, you can't say no to that surely" ? Seriously, reading Norman's book I was a bit shocked to find out that Bill and Charlie were getting nowhere close to the so-called "equal" share that was always said they were getting. On the other hand Ronnie often said after he becam

Anyone if this is improved over the Emotional Rescue Sessions, Jah is Not Dead for intance that was rather scratchy and then a bit muted in the "CD remaster"?

Just bumped into this, looks like a great effort. These are legendary recordings...I remembered getting four 90 minute from marclaf in the mail ten years ago after trying to get a hold of them for years. I'd converted them to MP3 at the then state of the art 128kbps bitrate but never really went back to them. Time to revisit ! Nice to find out how the recordings were made, in the mailb

Never like that song, always found it boring with a nondescript vocal, sounds like a (bad) outtake...and I LOVE outtakes. They should have put "Living is a Harder Love" (aka Living in the Heart of Love)" on IORR instead. As for "I got a letter" I've never heard it coming from the GHS sessions, but from Rotterdam 1975. I think both the instrumental and vocal versio

Nice story ! @toomuchforme - do you have that from someone who actually heard them over there, if yes I'm driving out there. Can you please repost in the "rehearsals topic" :

Thanks, let me check that thread then...but if it's not someone who actually heard them I'm not driving out there. I thought I was onto something when I noticed a "A la ferme" studios in Bondy, what with the "Barn" mentioned by rockerdeparis but I drove there the other day and that place is closed down. Anyway since Rockerdeparis had written it was in the South of

What's with all these blank messages Max ? Different shape for the pit in NY apparently : vs Could just be the drawing of course. VIP packages are the exact same price when converted from £ to £, i.e. £1150 and $1850 so there's no reason to think that the individual pit tickets will be around $650...actually maybe not because you don't get the full dinner for $

That comment of hers is beyond ridiculous ! Having said that I read Norman's book last week and it's got something to it, nothing really groundbreaking, but I've read pretty much every Stones book out there and suff published in magazines and this book puts Mick in an interesting light. It's well summed up in the abandoned bio of the early 80s, he obviously did a lot of

I think you mean a "suit", a "costume" is for a diguise and that likely won't go down too well with these bankers ;-) For the "public" warmup show I'd also thought about the Trianon as it's rather popular these days and...available on the 25th. @damnation - I'm curious, what did they say at Mogador, not surprised but well trained ? stuff lik

They apparently sold 100 pit tix during the FB sale, seemingly none during the general sale (at least no one said they were able to buy one) not sure how many for the VIP package and then they would probably put guests in there too... Looks like there were a lot of people in the previous "tongue pit" at the 2006 SB, 300, 400 ?

Well informed rock radio guy says it's in the 93 departement, so Seine St-Denis makes sense : I thought I was onto something when I spotted a studio/rehearsal spot calle "A la ferme", with farm=barn but I drove there yesterday and the place is closed!

Yeah, dunno why the no longer have concerts over there, the only event I'm aware of is the international cat show in January ! The search is over, the secret concert to take place at the Mogador theater on October 29th apparently...invitations sent out via (to ?) a private bank called Carmignac Gestion (http://www.carmignac.fr/fr/index.htm) apparently, now that's what I call R'n

Pilot Inn sounds like a plan, I'll be visiting the Greenwich Observatory earlier in the day, then checking in at the Travelodge in Greenwich and will make my way to the Inn around 5.30ish I guess. Doors open at 7.30 apparently, not sure it's worth queing up before that?
