Typical mid 70's music, punk just had to happen as that is just so damn boring really, sophistication at the expense of excitement. It's a shame Mick didn't go on to greater things after the stones though, he certainly had the talent. Now, after all the talk of the exile era theft etc, what about that guitar he's playing!?

I dunno what to say, other than it's The Rolling Stones. One of their most known gigs, Hyde Park 1969, is ropey to the max, but yet, it's still got something yeah!?

Quotevox12stringRoberta Pedon, she apparently did do a bikers mag shoot but I don't have the reference to it. Check out her bio, her ending was quite sad. Don't believe she did any HC, mainly page 3 type of stuff This is not the forum to be posting her pix, you can find them yourself Thank you very much!!!

QuoteLa Mano NeraThere's two guitars in the studio version. The guitar that plays the intro is in standard tuning with a capo on the 3rd fret. The other guitar which plays the main riff is in open E (which can be open D with a capo on the 2nd fret). There's more than 2 guitars on the single, and the first 2 we hear are definitely tuned to open E without a capo on the 3rd fret.

Quotemikeywith extended organ outro courtesy Mr Wyman. Although Bill says he plays organ on JJF, there's no way it's the main organ we hear, I suspect he played during the initial tracking session but his playing was either mixed out or recorded over for the final mix, I suspect this was the same for Brian's guitar. Nicky must have overdubbed organ as the organ part is very

QuoteCindyCHis Majesty - do you know if this is really a "B" movie, or is it actually a porno? I'm not sure, but I think it's more likely to be a girl from an early 70's Russ Meyer style exploitation film, not porn as such.

The open E studio version features multiple guitars playing the riff in different positions. It is not a case of moving everything one string up.

Who is this girl? I might win a prize if I have the answer and I'll be very grateful if anyone can tell me! All I know is that she has big boobies, born in USA and a DVD featuring her was released last month. Apparently the film is like Russ Meyer naughty stuff, but it's not an actual Russ Meyer production.

QuoteSohoe<<Apparently there's nothing about Brian buying one.>> I kinda thought my question would be a long shot. Thanks for chiming in on this one, His Majesty. Really cool pic btw All it means is they don't have a record of Brian Jones buying one, doesn't mean it didn't happen though. I'm not sure what kind of state their archives are in, but

Information relating to Mick and Bill's Mellotron purchases circa 1967 are still held in the Streetly Electronics archives. Apparently there's nothing about Brian buying one, but as he clearly loved the instrument I would be very surprised if he didn't. Mick donated his mellotron to the Hard Rock Cafe. You can see Mick's mellotron in the film Performance in Turner's m

QuoteThe SicilianFrom Keno's website: Keno's crediting is often rubbish. Very doubtful that Brian plays guitar on either of those tracks and although Bill's books credit Brian with piano on Ruby Tuesday, the presence of Jack Nitzsche during those late 66 sessions makes me seriously doubt that.

QuoteThe SicilianI didn't know Keith played piano until I saw this... That's a Hammond organ and they're miming. It's not much of a stretch for any good musician to get something out of a piano, there's a few tracks from the 60's that feature Keith on organ and/or piano, all very basic. Keith is shown playing mellotron during the We Love You film.

QuotetattersIn the bonus footage, when they are in the studio, mixing Little Queenie, is that Glyn Johns who is trying to work while Mick is humping the back of his chair? Or is that someone else? It's not Glyn, it's someone else, Keith Harwood!?

Aftermath is easier as the stereo is wide on those recordings, but I can't access the Beggars Banquet isolated tracks as I don't use bit-torrent or whatever it is. Anyway, I use this isolating thing to work out instrument parts.

If you have something like Cool Edit Pro you'll be able to do this type of isolating yourself.
