QuoteTestify In the acoustic set Ronnie was great with his acoustic guitar, I love his solo in Dead Flowers! Ronnie played well in this concert. Yes, Ronnie give us one of his best solos on Beast of Burden, unfortunately buried in this lousy mix. His solo is crisp and crystal clear on another mix I've got... One of my fav Ronnie-moments.

Not to forget: Keith on Let Me Go, IMO a perfect simple solo on a Rock'n Roll song.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRobertJohnson IORR is the most Tayloresk studio album, there we find the best solo efforts: Time Waits For No One, Dance Little Sister (Mick T), but also: Ain't too Proud to Beg (Keith). And I remember: Keith on Hold On To Your Hat, I suppose, on Steel Wheels. At least it is the fastest and most fluid effort by Keith (if it is really Keith). Keith's Short

The brillant song proves once again that Mick Taylor's departure was a heavy loss. His eminent influence on songwriting of "songs with soul" is very clear in this case.

QuoteMathijs Quoteab The last tour of the "golden era" was Europe 82. No backup singers and no Matt Clifford, just raw, if coke addled, rock n roll. I think 1981 was the last real 'golden era' tour. By 1982 all the danger was gone. But that said, the 1989 and 1990 tour are certainly not my favourites, but they did play incredibly well. It might even have been Keith's ev

Na, dann können wir ja einen Monat lang hier alle Deutsch schreiben, und damit unsere holländischen, norwegischen, französischen, portugiesischen, spanischen etc. Freunde zufrieden sind, dann je einen Monat in diesen Sprache

QuoteGJV My first bootleg was a Japanese 2cd called "Urban Jungle" and was basically the same Wembley 1990 concert, what was later released in Europe as "7th of July", but this Japanese one was slightly better and had the band inro. I was blown away by the exellent quality and for a while I thought that all bootlegs were like this, but not realy long after I found out that wa

They are near to their roots, the Blues, like on Rolling Stones and Rolling Stones 2. And they are influenced by Gospel elements (Tumbling Dice, Shine a Light) in a tasteful manner. Mick Taylor has his first great moments on a studio album (Stop Breaking Down). The song writing is on top, many hidden champions like Sweet Black Angel, I just Want to See His Face.

Yes, at this particular time they turned into their own cover band … with some exceptions, e.g. the Club Shows in the middle of the nineties. But over all there is a road of decline in the last 30 years.

QuoteJordyLicks96 QuoteGasLightStreet I'm curious to hear the GYYYO! version with the live vocal, the "But it's alright, yeah it's alright" instead of the "But it's allllllll-ryyyyyyyyyyyte" vocal. I posted the entire first show at MSG on Nov. 27th yesterday, which has the original vocal for JJF and HTW! Audience recording but it's very weird to hear
