I've got mixed emotions remembering this album: perfect Stones (Summer Romance, Let Me Go, Where The Boys Go), good ones (Down in the Hole, She's So Cold, All About You), but incredibly lousy mistakes (Dance Pt. 1, Emotional Rescue, Send It to Me, the Reggae-Stones never worked) and the Mariachi-kitschy ballad Indian Girl at rock bottom. The last one is the most awkward effort in Stones

For me: 1. Wandering Spirit 2. Crosseyed Heart 3. I Feel Like Playing. The ranking of Ronnie's last solo effort in this article is a ridiculous mistake.

I don't like it, a rather lame and powerless interpretation. My favorite versions are from the tours 69 and 81/82. Mick Taylor's phrasing in 69 is unique, also Ronnie Wood's power in 81/82.

I visited the Saturday show, sat in the stand on the side, it was coolish. The band was in good shape, the sound not as good, it reverberates in the stand. I remember that Keith's performance was great, anyway.

QuoteSKILLS There's some great content on that site, restricted to Germany, but if your there enjoy Restricted to Germany, really? ARTE is a common project of France and Germany. So the content must be available in France (at least), too, I guess.

QuoteJustin QuoteTestify QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteGasLightStreet This is the tour when Tumbling Dice really got good on Ronnie's part. He's been consistent with it ever since. Well, when he got that B-bender, he spaced out a bit, didn't he? I think that on TD Ronnie always tries to improvise his solo, I think he uses the B-bender to have some fun. Ronnie is the only one who

Quoteflairville QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotemick64 nothing has been said about van vinyl and cd support Eagle Rock always releases it on CD and vinyl as well. Correct! It’ll be released across all formats. Also, I don’t think Eagle Rock messed up the mix for Voodoo Miami, it was recorded poorly at the time. No, definitely not. I've got a brilliant boot. It is a crisp and clear sound.

The sound quality of many boots are very good. I hope that Eagle doesn't mess it up like Miami 94. The boots are far better than the official release in this case. Musically Atlantic is one of the better performances of the Vegas era. Some rough and raw moments remind me of the Rolling Stones in 81/82. Mick's vocals aren't so smooth and clean as it is the case in the following perf

Quoterollmops Have the Stones and Johnny ever met? Rockandroll, Mops I don't know. But I think so. Silver Train was allegedly written for Johnny Winter by Keith and Mick. Johnny released it before it appears on GHS.

His show in Essen, Grugahalle, in April 79 is a legend. There was an europe wide broadcast in television (WDR Rockpalast). Johnny came on stage at 2 o'clock in the morning. With him on bass Jon Paris, on drums Bobby Torello. The band quitted the stage at 5.30 after a firework of Rock and Blues (Diving Duck, Messing with the Kid, Mississippi Blues, Suzie Q). The auditorium was bewitched. One

Johnny is my fav guitar player of all time. I saw him 2012 in Gelsenkirchen in his last weeks. Seriously ill, he couldn't play his instrument in this perfect manner as he used to. Johnny (in his best days, that last till the nineties, anyway) was one of the few players who blended an incredibly fast and fluid guitar style into a unique blues feeling. So sad that he isn't among us.

The statement is essentially right that Germany copes with the situation in a better way than some other European countries (to date). I think that we have an effective health system (which is rather expensive for all by pay as you go scheme, however). The capacities of intensive care were boosted in the last weeks, so that the German physicians could even help patients from France, Italy and oth

The advantage: Gene Barge instead of Earnie Watts. Earnie has an edgy annoying style, Gene is melodious and more gentle. The disadvantage: Chuck Leavell, his first appearance, here not so prominent in the mix, so he is tolerable. But no one could have a premonition of his destructive influence on the band in the next 40 years. I prefer the Leeds performance to the Hampton gig, raw and rude, th

I wrote it ten years ago: Go to the studio twice a year and record all those traditional blues tracks from Charlie Patton, Son House, Robert Johnson etc. mixed with own blues tracks newly written. It would be the best way to get older and older without losing your dignity. Quit the desperate Best of-Tours, though it brings a lot of money. But musically it is worthless. There are many of better co
