I'm longing for a pure blues album. It could contain all the Robert Johnson stuff for example. Such an album could be the summit of the career of our band. And such stuff could be the future 50+ ...

You are right, the sax often destroyed many songs on this tour. E.g. "You can't Always Get what You Want": Ernie Watts join the band usually during the vocal part in the beginning, and it sounds terrible. On many songs you get the impression that the sound was overloaded with instruments. "Beast of Burden" is a exception: I like the sax, the guitar solos and then the inte

Some concerts of 81/82 are really good. Particularly "Under my Thumb", "Black Limousine" and "Beast of Burden" are great versions and unmatched today. On the other side I dislike the deep vocal mix of Mick Jagger. Sometimes it is difficult to recognize him as the same man who sings on the studio tracks. The guitar work of Ron Wood is much better than he does during t

I miss the other versions of JJF; I have read in the booklet they did five takes of JJF and some blues numbers (e.g. "Confession the blues" and some Robert Johnson blues). Otherwise you are right it is great, particularly "Parachute Woman" is almost a new song live in the Circus. But I'm sorry the version of "Salt" is - I guess - a instrumental playback with liv

Great keyboarder, love his work during the 75/76 tour. On the boot "It's a gas in Paris" he is the most prominent musician besides Ronnie Wood in my opinion. You can say that the 75/76 tour is Ronnies and Billys. The piano lines on "You gotta Move" add something new to this blues song. And I guess that he brought about the funky style on thé great medley "If You can&

It is sad that "Tumbling Dice" on "Rarities" was spliced together from two versions. Both versions (the warm up and the concert tape) should be edited separately. Both versions are great indeed. And what concerns the booklet: a bunch of mistakes.

Here another incredible one, unreleased, instrumental with great harp and bass figures. I don't know whether it is Mick or a guest musician on harp, also don't know who is on the bass, I guess Keith, Piano Nicky Hopkins or Mick? In any case it is great music. Enjoy:

Having heard the both new tracks many times I wonder why they haven't made a CD with 18 songs. They are so marvellous and great. A ABB version in the same order with 17: "Under the Radar" and 18: "We Don't wanna Go Home" (I hope a promise for the next 40 years) would be the absolut killer.

Yeah and you can hear that our band has its greatest moments when they play the blues. A great feeling, and I guess if there is a future for the Stones 50+, they have to go back to their roots. I'm longing for a pure blues album with traditionals and own compositions.

For the moment I hear another gem of our band. A studio track named "Still a Fool", never released, a ten minutes long blues with Keith and Brian, I guess, on guitars, Mick on vocals and harp and Bill/Charlie on the rhythm section. It is from 68 and it is better than all official tracks in the history of our band until 68 in my opinion. Why in hell we get no "official" bootleg
