Good to see the band is back in town. I read rumours they were recording at the Warehouse a few years ago. Awesome setlist from Roseland. Nice to see them doing some of the lesser known songs from Powerage.

Was very shocked to see the news on CTV tonight. Didn't know he had cancer. Jeff Beck was a fan of his. Healey and his band did an awesome cover of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. RIP.

Hi Des. I was at the Vancouver show but I don't recall that happening. I do remember UMT was the internet pick though.

We got hit hard where I live, just east of Vancouver. Had over 2 feet in just a few days. Thankfully it was light powder but I sure shoveled alot. Since then, it's back to the usual rain so most has melted. The Coquihalla Highway which is the major highway into the BC interior has been closed for a week due to avalanches and it'll still be closed for several more days. Hopefully we

Van Halen's reunion tour has already grossed more than their whole 2004 reunion tour with Sammy! I'm a bit surprised they're on the list for 2007 since their tour started fairly late in the year. From reading online news reviews, pretty much every show is sold out and they're playing several cities again on this second round of dates. I'm sure they'll hit Europe d

Sam recorded alot at RCA in Hollywood with Dave Hassinger engineering some of the sessions. I always wondered if he influenced the Stones to record Good Times when they were recording at RCA. I bought the Sam Cooke greatest hits ABKCO remaster hybrid SACD which came out just after the Stones remasters. Sound quality is excellent both on SACD and regular CD.

I'm sure all Cowboy fans are blaming Jessica Simpson for Dallas's loss today! For those that don't follow American football, Dallas QB Tony Romo went to Mexico with Jessica for a couple of days. Sometimes, getting that extra week off can be a negative because you're waiting too long to play. Bottom line is New York was the better team today. Now Tony has lots of time to tak

KISS reunion tour in 96 Vancouver. Very loud but not distorted. Also Van Halen last month in Vancouver. I didn't think it was too loud but when I got home and went to bed and rested my head on my pillow, my ears were ringing! Most of the hard rock bands I've seen put on loud concerts: AC/DC, Priest, Maiden, Scorpions, Motorhead, Aerosmith, Motley, etc.

Because the Stones have toured so much over the past decade, I seriously doubt there would be much demand to see them right now. Certainly wouldn't sell out stadiums.

Game was on Hockey Night In Canada so I'm sure alot of people here watched it. A great marketing idea by the NHL and the crowd was huge. They did this in Edmonton a few years ago and drew around 57,000. One thing they might think of for future outdoor games is don't schedule it on January 1, the same day as all the huge Bowl games in the States. It would be awesome to see the Blackh

Boxing Day in Canada is an official holiday. It is also one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Lots of sales, with the electronics stores probably being the most popular.

I used to be a big fan of his, partly because he's local. I believe he lives in England but he still has a house/ recording studio in Vancouver. I didn't really follow him after he and his writing partner Jim Vallance split up in the late 80's. I absolutely hate that Everything I Do from Robin Hood, even though that was his biggest single. Hopefully he gets back to his roots

Hey drbryant. When I saw the title of this thread, I immediately thought of Back In Black! The sound Mutt Lange got on that album as well as Highway To Hell and Those About To Rock is awesome. Also thought about Zeppelin 4, in particular When The Levee Breaks.

Blondie actually plays alot of guitar during the Stones concert. When I saw them in Vancouver last year, for the first few songs, he was sitting on the floor behind Chuck playing guitar (not acoustic) out of sight of most of the crowd, although there was a spotlight on him. I'd say he played guitar on over half the songs. On the Austin DVD, you can hear him playing guitar clearly. His

Some weird choices for the top 10. I'm assuming this VH1 is a British version? Just saw Alex VH in concert last week and he was awesome. His solo was better than he did 20 years ago! His stamina was incredible throughout the concert. First time I've seen Nikko from Maiden listed on any list! He's a good drummer but I wouldn't list him in a top 10 list. The current dru

Went to Wednesday's show at GM Place in Vancouver. Show was sold out and the band was awesome. Having followed the tour online, I knew the setlist. One thing about this tour compared to all the previous tours is that there is very little break between the songs, which is why they play so many. Eddie looks lean and happy to be playing with Wolfie and DLR. I was very impressed with Alex&#

My sister went to the opening night in Vancouver on Sunday. She's not a big fan but she said it was a really good show and the local papers said it was good, too. Tough to call someone "Baby" Spice when she's in her mid 30's now! What I can't believe is how huge the Bon Jovi tour is right now. They're doing multiple nights in many cities including 2 upcoming

I think with most venues, the sound quality depends on where you're sitting. As far as the VH tour goes, it looks like a huge success with all the additional dates being added. 5 shows in New York, 4 LA shows, 3 Chicago. I'm sure they'll start to book European shows over the Summer. Can't wait for next Wednesday when they're in Vancouver.
