Re: OT : Van Halen set list

Went to Wednesday's show at GM Place in Vancouver. Show was sold out and the band was awesome. Having followed the tour online, I knew the setlist. One thing about this tour compared to all the previous tours is that there is very little break between the songs, which is why they play so many. Eddie looks lean and happy to be playing with Wolfie and DLR. I was very impressed with Alex's drum solo. He played it fairly late in the show so he must have been tired. In 1984, he played it very early in the concert. Wolfie did a good job on bass and he did a good job on harmony vocals. No chance they were using pre-recorded back up vocals. Eddie sang alot of harmony, too. I had good seats in the stands and was watching them with my binoculars alot, trying to see if they were indeed doing all the harmony vocals.
Only pre-recorded music was the keyboards on I'll Wait as well as 1984/Jump. In past tours, Eddie said that The Who used pre-recorded keyboards on Baba O'reilly and Won't Get Fooled so he didn't mind using them.
After the show, listening to one of the local rock stations and they had people calling in and everyone was just raving about the show. Looks like this tour will continue on well into next year.
