Actually I don't consider it one of his best, but it's a great track nonetheless. Bad. Awful bad. The music. The lyrics. The voice. Just everything. Awful bad. Yeah, some are not capable of

Quotebob r Didn't Carly Simon try to get a co-writing credit on this song ? Seems to me I read somewhere that she claimed she and Jagger wrote the song together....? Anyone else remember that ? You might have read it somewhere in this thread as I just did yesterday.

QuoteDandelionPowdermanThe reggae-stuff, starting with the brilliant I Got A Letter during the GHS-sessions, happened because Keith got a house in Jamaica and loved the music. Luxury is a rock tune, albeit with some Caribbean influences. Hot Stuff is good funk track. Either you love the Stones-sound or you don't. If you don't you'll prefer to put on Muddy Waters, Joe Tex, Merle

Don't know which was worse - Styles impersonating Mick or the first song he performed. Is he like the Justin Bieber of England with lots of teeny bopper fans? Can't comment on the rest of the show as I turned it off after that.

QuoteTheGreek Quotemtaylor QuoteSwayed1967 QuoteRip This Slave is so under rated it almost hurts....better than SMU. That’s laughable. But ‘Slave’ was a huge missed opportunity. Mick should be whipped around midnight for wasting that hypnotic riff and groove. The ‘’Don’t wanna be your slave’ refrain is obviously in response to Keith asking him to write some decent lyrics. With only semi

QuoteLeonidP QuoteMonsoon Ragoon IORR is almost the worst album ever IMHO with a lot of cheesy ballads. The best track of the sessions (Drift Away) was ommitted in favour of the weaker Ain’t Too Proud To Beg. B&B is much better in any way, but too short. Ain't Too Proud To Beg blows away Drift Away. I agree. While not as great as the original Temptations version, the Stones' A

Nice enough tune - Micks vocals are good, the harmonies are great, but the lyrics are not the best. Maybe Carly Simon is to blame? Had it not been released on IORR, it might have fit well on side two of Tattoo You alongside Ain't No Use in Crying.

First impression - sounds a bit run-of-the-mill. Christine's keyboard sounds like something you hear on a karaoke tune. Not as eager to hear the entire album as I was before listening to this. Stevie's background vocals are missed. Maybe the next single will have Christine singing lead, and will be better?

Sad about a new Stones album being canned (if true), but the next best hope would be another Keith solo album. Releasing stuff from 'the Vaults' is interesting, but shouldn't really be a priority for them like it is for long defunct Beatles...the Stones are still supposedly an 'active' band! There's all the time in the world to release stuff from the vaults for d

QuoteRocky Dijon I'm afraid Frampton just doesn't come alive for most IORRians. Have to admit I was glued to that record for quite awhile when it was released (as were millions of others). I was only 12 years old at the time, and that talkbox was freaky and intriguing. There were a couple decent tunes on it (Do You Feel Like We Do and Show Me The Way), but can't say his guitar

For what it's worth, I did correct the spelling in my above post! But lets cut to the chase of all this...I claim Jimi Hendrix the winner and nothing can change that - game ove

OK...maybe some of Paisley's diehard fans will ask "why the f*ck Mick Jagger". I have some family and friends who are diehard outlaw country music fans living up in the country, and they would laugh and then spit at the thought of Mick Jagger messing with their type of music. But not really sure where Brad Paisley fits within the country music world, he's probably more of t

From my perspective, Mick didn't help his cause as being seen as an equally important member when he started realeasing his solo albums. All one has to do is listen to Micks solo albums vs. Keiths solo albums, and it becomes a bit more clear as to what strengths and weaknesses they both have. Prior to that, it was Mick and keith as team members carrying equal weight - sharing the burden an
