Keith's black 72 Telly is my all-time favorite. I am actually considering one as well, even if it is a Mexican re-issue.

QuoteStoneage If you have Hampton (audio or/and video) there is no need for anything else from 1981 really. Everything else is above par value. Go for the 1982 tour instead. Leeds for example is a good complement to the Hampton show. Really can't go wrong with that. You won't find 2 better recordings to represent both 81 and 82.

If we are placing blame for what happened at Altamont, I assume we are referring to the death. And that blame lies squarely on Merideth Hunter, and only Merideth Hunter.

Jane's Addiction should be in. Krist Novoselic of Nirvana credits them as breaking down the walls that led to the whole Seattle scene breaking out.

By the way, it is the second one that I was looking for (Danger Keep Behind Barbed Wire). It blows away the first one. For anyone interested and may not be familiar with this one, this recording (Danger) is a STUNNING audience recording from a really good show with a great setlist. It has flown under the radar, which is unfortunate. Grab it, and you will not be disappointed.

Quotegeorgelicks QuoteKennedy Hopefully not a sign of how the album sounds. They tend to master a little too hot on recent releases. The album will sound LOUD because that's the way ALL the new albums sound, 70-80% of the people is listening music on their phones, not vinyl or CD's. That's a good point.

QuoteDGA35 If you want to talk sped up DVD's, look at LSTNT. Ridiculous. I've never seen a Bluray version of it, perhaps it's speed corrected. Nope

QuoteDEmerson Picked one up today. $27. Was surprised my store (Newbury Comics near Boston) had 10 of them. My local record shop owner told me the list price and said he only ordered a few because he was so pissed about it. He was sold out by the time I got there. I wouldn't have paid that much anyway for 1 song.

If that was the last US show, I am satisfied and feel blessed for all the great shows over the years. I was lucky enough to attend the infamous LA show in 2013 that included 4 Mick Taylor spots. There is simply no way that can be topped at this point. I saw them again in 2015, but it was evident by then that they were on auto-pilot, and it seemed to me a sort of last pass-through. Just as

Quotewonderboy Somebody wrote they've become a brand and not artists anymore. I'm not *mad* at them for doing this, I just don't find it interesting or appealing. Interesting to me is Brian and Keith jamming in a decrepit flat; or Mick and Keith building up SFTD; or the magic that happened in that basement in the south of France; or the tours in the late '70s when they had th
