Quotephilrock90 I listen to this show often I love the setlist I wish they'd release it but my question is what is the best sounding boot? I have cow skin and pig shoes From memory, I think that's the best one. Is it Rattlesnake?

This was my new girlfriend's first ever Stones gig. We were offered £1500 for the ticket and she was sorely tempted (we were hard up students) but she saw sense. We're still together. I vividly remember a) it being packed b) being so excited they opened with Shattered and c) Mick messing up one of the lines of Melody and Keith pissing himself laughing. Sang I Got The Blues all the

And it's a pricey face value - virtually 50% more than Vancouver. I finally found my limit with this venue.

QuoteDeanGoodman See BV's advice here: The pit is NOT crowded. And certainly not "super crowded." Since you paid for the privilege, you might as well set up camp as close and comfortably as possible to the very front corner or along the catwalk before the riff-raff come in. This is not a Buenos Aires situation. You should survive. It has been super-crowded on some shows this t

QuoteTopi So...notwithstanding JazzFest, is MetLife #1 the first show on the tour without a face value pit drop? Vegas pit drop did not happen until 7pm on day of show, so there's still time. What is interesting is that "face value" for many of the seats have dropped: Sections 1&5 - FV is now $350, compared to 550 on 26th, Sections 7-10 - FV is now $250 compared to 350/5

If anyone is holding out for a ticket, there are currently 3 front row seats available right behind pit A, at face value. A great option. syrel

I am personally outraged that they have never introduced Gomper into the set. It would be a great rarity, a sure fire singalong and the crowd would love it, but Mick/Chuck/the head of security continually insist on not playing it. Clearly they have been gotten at by the woke brigade, or the deep state, or the FBI, or aliens, or something.

Yeah, I saw they had the generic one (same design for each show just with different city printed on the front). But I don't know why they are not selling the litho design T-shirts on site. They have done on previous tours. syrel

If anyone is interested in some of the detail of Oldham's brokering of the deal with Klein, there is a lot of good info in Fred Goodman's biography of Klein. This thread reminded me of an entirely unrelated anecdote: I have a friend who was a significant music journalist in the UK in the 70s and 80s, especially interested in the music industry. Working for the Oxford University stude

I don't have direct experience but, funnily enough, I almost bought one for the Vegas show (my ticket purchase was last minute) so, when I went into the venue I went and checked them out. My impression was that for the first few rows (maybe 2 or 3), if you were sitting down then the B stage would block your view of the main stage. However, a) I checked a couple of times and everyone seemed t

Actually I've now come out the other side... There was a time when anything other than pit felt like a disappointment, but now I can enjoy the show pretty much wherever I am. Hyde Park was a turning point for me, as I ended up far back but had the greatest time. Plus they've really been pushing the limits of pit pricing: I can just about rationalise £350-400 pound, but pushing £500-550

I wandered around GA at Vegas before heading into the pit. It was ok, but you gotta know what you're getting. You're (at best) half a field away, but you get more sense of the overall show/screens and room to move. I think it's better value for money than anything outside of the pit/first 25 rows or so. It might even be better value for money than those, but it is a different exper

If anyone is in Seattle and wants hassle-free merch-buying, then head to Lumen Field now. Servers outnumber punters at the moment. However, as with Vegas, the city-specific design T shirt isn't available (the litho is). Surely a manufacturing issue - it makes no sense not to be selling them on site. syrel

QuoteGJV If you didn't read much already about it, maybe The Stones by Philip Norman is an interesting read, including a lot about the start of the band. He really doesn't like The Stones, though, and that comes across I think. He is quite sneery/condescending. Norman is the receipient of my favourite ever Dylan put down, at the Press Conference announcing the film Hearts of Fire i

Setlists on the internet are different from setlists in the venue. Yes, this definitely wouldn't be the setlist I would draw up, but every one of the songs where I think 'meh' when it's announced was performed well and I really enjoyed them (even LARS). Novelty is nice, but quality is more important and I'm happy to listen to them play whatever they want. syrel
