For those non-Brits coming over for UK shows, the UK train system is INSANE but you can get cheaper/cheapish tickets. At least two things are worth knowing: 1) You should almost never need to buy a standard price off-peak ticket, you need to buy 'advance' tickets instead (though advance ticket are for specific trains so if you miss it you'd have to buy a new ticket).
