Thanks GLS, this is all jarring my memory, I do recall the two or three layers of vocal stacked on that word. Originally i was thinking it was a more obvious censorship thing, like a total blank space or a bleep, but yeah, now I recall that. And apparently there was a version where that WASN'T the case, like the cd issue cited in the link you provided. Which was a very interesting thread.

Oh yeah, "p*ssy" was the word (and I am censoring it right now) but I have always had the US original release (though come to think of it, I may have a UK version as I always preferred them to the US pressing), and I don't recall the word being altered or covered. So was it plainly legible on the UK or some other pressing, and the USA version was a distinct difference? Going to

I wasn't at MSG or where ever that show was recorded, but I saw them at Cal Expo in Sacramento a month or two of that I believe. And also at either Winterland or another SF area place around then as well. This was after seeing the original Hendrix Experience at the Sac State Women's (could have been Men's) Gym and at a festival out here too. That was the band I really liked. Ba

I would like a single of Scarlet b/w Criss Cross. And a unique picture sleeve please. Would prefer 7" but 10" or 12" would be good too. But Rod up there brought up an interesting potential issue: do you mean to tell me the RS have been circulating a censored version of Star Star these past years/decades? I believe I had heard that before but did not know if it had superceded the

Yeah it does sound a lot different to me than when I was listening to it via internet. I dont know if its a different mix that what was before, or if its just it playing on a big system, but it really hit me hard when I played my vinyl. I also think its way better than Criss Cross, but that is to expected I think, Criss Cross is and remains a throwaway, one that was resurrected, but a throwaway j

If the Rolling Stones commissioned it, put their name on it, and put it out, it is a release just like any other release, album, single, video, digital download. Therefore it is a legitimate piece of the Stones legacy, whether someone likes it or not, or attempts to ignore it or not. Videos will not be forgotten anymore than the songs will get forgotten. They may even persist longer. And if it is

You do have to remember most of those cases are mild or even asymptomatic. Do wish you guys the best though, cannot be much fun around there right now. Just try to stay healthy. I know its gotta be stretching the Aussie spirit of independence, way more than here in the USA, and even here its starting to get crazy. jb

It is of course exactly what was previously mastered and released. I don't know why that would even be in question. Stranger things have happened, I suppose, but come on now. Like said, too much hard work, for no apparent benefit. jb

>I'd like to see L&G The Rolling Stones in that setting Thats exactly the venue you would have been likely to have seen the film back in the seventies. There was a drivein near me that ran "midnight movies", starting at midnight, all kinds of counterculture movies. I remember Gimme Shelter and L&G as a double bill one time. I don't know if they were running rea

No one is ever going to accuse anyone of writing "Jigsaw Puzzle" level lyrics here. A decent producer makes sure the good stuff makes the cut and the crap is left on the cutting room floor. It was obvious what the decision was with this song. Thought it lacked anything of interest on bootleg and now I just have to wonder if this is the best they got. This hype of an obviously sub-sta

The Florida dates make sense, I guess, what with the proximity to Cuba and the ex-pats living there. Tullahoma TN? Its good to see they are targeting the large markets. Ma and Pa Kettle will probably be front row, along with Jedd Clampett, shootin' at some coons. What a load of shite this is. jb

I don't get the cassette, either. Unless it is meant as a pure novelty for the collection, I really doubt many people actually play cassettes anymore. I know, personally, that I wish I had a functioning cassette player still, I have a lot of tapes I would like to digitize. Not enough to make it worth my while to go buy a new deck though. jb

All of that was "new" at the time. I remember it being part of the Bright Lights Big City boot, before I got hold of a bleary VHS of the broadcast. I thought it was great though obviously they were playing to a backing track in at least one song. I thought that Bluesberry Jam or whatever was particularly great back then. I don't believe I have seen the footage with the presentin

Well it does confirm the extra two tracks on the super deluxe version of the cds, although most of the other text is about as literally believable as the above quote. A lot of repetition or I would cut and paste it here. Appears they want approx 188 USD for the super cd/bluray set with the two extra tracks. I don't get why they do this sort of crap. Hopefully they will release the two tra

As sometimes happens, one can get a sense of what is being said: In addition to the first multi-format demo and outtake released in 1973, three unreleased songs including Jimmy Page's "Scarlet" were recorded. Two bonus tracks included in the Japanese Super Deluxe Box Featuring "Angie of Sorrow" which marked the 5th place in the UK and the first place in the

Still, 80 including tax and free shipping isnt bad. Will wait to see if i can score the cd/blueray/otherjunk set later on for cheap. Am bugged though: f'in "store exclusive" clear vinyl 2 LP set is already
