I just gave up and cancelled my Cd order with Amazon.ca four days ago. Then I put in a new order. That seemed to get things moving and the CD arrived yesterday. The old “unplug and then plug it back in” trick.

Some good recommendations here. I thought this was a great compilation and a good intro to the genre: “Speciality Gospel Twofer: Greatest Gospel Gems” 2 albums on one CD. I just checked Amazon and it’s crazy cheap at $3.53 US

I agree with the comments on Seattle in 2019. A great show, loved the setting with the city skyline behind the stage. Definitely a different experience in so many ways to my first Stones concert in October 1981 in the same neighborhood.

I ordered CD’s from the two shows I’ve seen so far this tour - Seattle and Paris - and can confirm as others have that the sound quality is excellent! You can hear the various instruments quite distinctly. The first CD from Seattle took over a month to arrive but the second was quicker.

So far I’ve got tickets for Seattle and Paris. With Vancouver added in November, I’m cautiously tempted to add another show to make it 15 in total. Maybe they’ll revisit the pricing system now in response to the criticism? That might make a difference in my decision, but I just don’t feel the same enthusiasm as I use to.

I’ll admit I haven’t seen many, but Prince was great as usual, including the “press conference”.

I’m personally glad he’s brought back the horns and back-up singers. Fills out the sound nicely and gives us some nice horn solos. But sadly, Patti’s vocals still make me wince. Maybe it’s just me?

Quotecrholmstrom QuoteAngus MacBagpipe Bruce’s complete silence on this sh*t-show and the upset it has caused his long-time fans is probably the most disturbing aspect. $800 broadway tickets, Jeep ads, hanging out with politicians, $500 million catalog sale, and now this. What a sad way to end a career. It's not he has an elaborate stage/light show. It's been close to the same since t

The first time I heard “Before They Make me Run” I immediately thought of “Rocks Off” because of the similarities in Keith’s chord progressions.

Two tickets in the “gold category” up on the side for the second show in Paris! One of those easy ticket buys - in the system and out in less than 5 minutes!

Three of the shows were in Vancouver: 2003 (Rising Tour), 2005 (Devils & Dust), and 2012 (Wrecking Ball). The rest were in Tacoma, Seattle, Portland, Glasgow and Munich.

QuoteDGA35 Hopefully Vancouver is included! Last time he was here was 2012, a really good show. I was up front in the pit for that one. The crowd, the energy, and the pure joy. It was best of the 12 Bruce concerts I’ve attended.

Quotebv I prefer to stay at hotels. They are regulated by the authorities, you may have breakfast in the morning, and there might even be a restaurant on the premises. AirBnB and other apartment rental services are nice for the end user, but they are killing local city culture. Just take a walk in any tourist place like Manarola in Cinque Terre, or Barcelona, and take a look at the people livi

QuoteDan QuoteRockman Its a wonder Macca doesnt get someone like Bernard to help him out on live/studio vocals The drummer sings on most songs. Guess Paul is too cheap is to pay for both. I feel sorry for McCartney, even more so for his fans. There comes a time to just give it up.

One of the ways to hear Bill’s brilliance is on the long bootleg versions when they’re working out the tunes, especially the Some Girls era. These tracks go on for ages and Bill never wavers, always keeping it swinging, throwing in fresh bits.

If anyone had asked me who the most overrated 60’s rock star was I would’ve said Clapton. I could never hear what the fuss was about. With his behaviour recently he seems determined to sink lower and lower. Maybe it’s the first stages of dementia? If it is I feel badly for him.

QuoteKRiffhard Quoteshattered Must be Hell is another one. ...and Pretty Beat Up too! I always thought Pretty Beat Up sounded like Ronnie. He wrote it, and Bill wouldn’t do that triple slide up bit at the end. It sticks out too much. Might be Keith though… No Stu, then no Bill and the swing was gone.

Bruce had a tremendous streak of good stuff: Born to Run Darkness on the Edge of Town The River Nebraska ...and adding two more to the big four: Born in the USA Tunnel of Love 75’ to 87’ - not too many artists have a run that long.

Quotedrewmaster Quote The rock star was together with his wife Melanie Hamrick and their youngest children, followed by the singer's bodyguards. Ha! I don't think so. Drew That won't be happening too soon I imagine. The original article said "moglie", which could also be translated as woman or partner.

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteGreen Lady QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteDGA35 There was a recent post about this topic a few weeks back. Of course, for some reason the cameras don't show Bill in the Around and Around opener. Guess he should have stood closer to the rest of the band! Wonder if it was intentional, by either the band or the producers? Being a bit older and the only one without a suit coat.
