I'm going with my daughter (to her first Stones concert), and I hate to admit it...but I prefer a seat with a view over the crowd (yes, I know...that's just not acceptable in this forum...so

I saw Dick Dale (and his teenage son) doing a free show at a record store in Portland Oregon in December - purely by chance. Very nice.

Budapest, row 4, arrived today at the post office!!! All the way from Hungary to British Columbia, Canada - safe and sound!

48, and a fan since I was 12. Sold an electric guitar that I had bought for $2 for $12 and bought "Hot Rocks". One listen and I put my Beatles albums away (they suddenly seem so childish and naive to me) and I became a Rolling Stones fan for life. It's one of my life's joys to have my favourite band last so long; we're very lucky.

I loved his books, especially when I was in High School when I always had one with me. Sorry to hear that he's gone. Do yourself a favour and read one of his books if you haven't already.

Nice clips, but they should've interviewed Keith BEFORE his morning "bacon and eggs".

Has to be Marianne - have you see "Girl on a Motorcycle"? Man oh man...she was a babe and a half in her day! No wonder Mick was crazy for her.

I love Billie Holiday's singing too, especially the stuff on Columbia from the 30's and 40's, before her voice eventually went downhill from drugs and a hard life. She had the rare gift of expressing so much of herself through her voice. She imitated no one, and no one sounds like Billie.

Didn't Bill have his name on a "Groupie Detector" back in the day? Used to work like a hot-damn for him I hear.

The fact that some people want to drag this stupid thing out is an embarrassment.

I just thought it was funny when I heard it! I was only disappointed that Keith would be using coke again. That is definitely NOT funny. But we all know Keith says all kinds of crap that's not true. Like: running through the streets of NYC with a gun trying to get John Lennon's killer, or how about meeting Muddy Waters painting the ceiling of Chess Studios with white paint dripping

I'm not American, but I am a North American - Canadian to be exact. I'm going to the Budapest show as an add-on to a trip to Europe I'd already planned. Good timing!

If anyone is still looking for a place to stay in Budapest, the Hotel Stadion is close to the Stadium (hence the name) and the metro: I always prefer to stay close to the venue. This one's 3 stars, looks okay, price not bad but they bump it up a bit the night of the show.

I think "Prodigal Son" is in open D.

Don't forget "Tumbling Dice", "Before They Make me Run" and the great version of "Wild Horses" on Stripped. (Personally, I've found that playing "Gimme Shelter" in open G sounds more like what I've heard in live versions.)

I FINALLY just got through today to Ticketpro and it looks like I got decent seats (trying all the way from the west coast of Canada). But what a rough night - 9 hours time difference and all. Thank goodness my wife has relations in Holland that I can have the tickets mailed to - and at a ridiculous price for a few stamps! Very strange that they don't want to mail to the USA or Canada. Ho

I notice that the songs most people say they dislike are the ones where the Stones go off into other directions: soul ballads, reggae, psychedelia, disco, funk, latin, etc., instead of the usual R & R. Oh well, can't please everyone. But I'm happy to see them try on new styles, even if they aren't always successful. I never liked "Long Long Time" (or whatever that
