I prefer All The Young Dudes to Mott. Most of the material on All The Young Dudes was written earlier while they were still at Island.

Quoteroryfaninva Amazing album and one of the best Brit rock albums of the era - Drivin' Sister, All the Way From Memphis, I Wish I was Your Mother- Mott on the verge of breaking through to the top tier. Far superior sound to the spindly Bowie production on "All the Youg Dudes". Then Mick Ralphs leaves for Bad Company and the momentum is lost. Any fans of this classic here on IOR

I prefer the reissue Rolled Gold + to Hot Rocks. Rolled Gold + has every song on Hot Rocks + some more charting songs from More Hot Rocks and a few not on either compilation like Little Red Rooster and I Wanna Be Your Man.

Quotesilkcut1978_ QuoteTravelinMan QuoteDandelionPowderman Their peak in the studio is generally seen as 1968-1972. I don't necessarily agree with that, but Taylor was only instrumental in making two of those albums. He was still a member during that time, I never said it was their peak because of him. Somebody said “he was never a Rolling Stone.” C’mon now. I thought it's commo

Start Me Up, Tumbling Dice, Gimme Shelter and Sympathy For The Devil are omitted from the dvd on the Four Flicks release. However, Start Me Up and Gimme Shelter from this show appear on the Live Licks cd set so you are really only missing Tumbling Dice and Sympathy For The Devil from the show if you have both Four Flicks and Live Licks.

The shows themselves went well enough, though the versions that appear on album are heavily overdubbed with new guitar tracks and backing vocals by Richards and/or Ronnie Wood. Jagger overdubbed the harmonica of "Mannish Boy" as well. Only "Around and Around" is untouched. From Wikipedia article about Love You Live lp.

If true, I wonder what this means for the rumored Four Flicks show from New York 2003 which has not been officially announced yet. I wonder which show would be released first?

QuoteErik_Snow QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteErik_Snow I've always been a big fan of Love You Live, the only thing is that after getting my first TOTA 1975 bootlegs in the early 90s, I thought they were so much better compared to LYL. But prior to that, I listened a LOT to that double-album. Apart from the El Mocambo tracks, I think side 4 is terrific. HTW, Happy, Hot Stuff and You Gotta Mo

Quoteschwonek 10 songs of the Jan 18th show from NY made to the Live Licks CD. So maybe that show. I like the mix on the Live Licks - somehow raw. But I bet this release will not sound as good. (I liked Little Red Rooster from Flashpoint but not from the Vault Release eg.) I believe the live version of Thru And Thru on the Rarities cd is also from that same show so that would be 11 tracks alre

It is funny because I was thinking that if "Drift Away" was promoted the right way it could be a hit which goes against your view. That is ok. My rational is that lot of people are familiar with the song and they would be surprised that

The bonus disc looks pretty good with mostly new songs if a bit short with only 9 songs. It will be nice to have better sounding versions of some of these songs which have been around on bootlegs. Not keen on the cd/lp Super Deluxe Edition mixed formats. Maybe Japan will have cds only with a bonus track or tracks.

QuoteIanBillen I don't believe I am familiar with "Living In The Heart Of Love" concerning the title. I don't think I have even heard it's name in the various bootleg material through the years. Is this a title / song not heard of to those of you as well? Some places refer to it as Living Is A Harder Love. It is been around on various bootlegs.

QuoteJMARKO Doesn’t make sense. The three “unreleased” titles in the same ad with 6 released titles. If the released ones were alternate versions of them, that would equal the 9 bonus tracks. But that other info (From?) says only one alternate. Weird. The other info is from the Rolling Stones Data website and Facebook page. Marcelo who runs the site and page also posted a few days
