Omg I'm so exited! I miss seeing them live and loved Hackney Diamonds. I'm so excited for more live shows and of course for a new album later this year.

I also do still listen to Hackney Diamonds a lot. And many songs have even grown for me from first not liking them to then having them in my car driving playlist, for example Get Close. The saxophone solo gives me 1981 tour vibes, making me think they could have played this in the stadium on that great evening in the lets spend the night together concert movie. It fits the vibe. And that's

I think an obvious reason for them prolonging songs theses days is to have Mick sing less. The more the saves his voice the more he stays in great shape throughout the whole tour. You can see this happen with the new songs like Angry, Mess It Up, where you have really long intros and of course if they would play 22 songs instead of 19, Mick has to just do more singing. For example in JJF, he sing

I noticed within the 2013 tour they played songs like Jumping Jack Flash, Satisfaction or Brown Sugar, and even Miss You and Gimme Shelter, shorter because of 22 songs in the set. In 2014 in Australia I remember getting a few 8+ min Gimme Shelter versions and in 2016 with the 18 song setlists some 10min version of Satisfaction and 16 mins of Midnight Rambler.

I'm really really excited for the new album! So lucky to be a fan of such a band, still recording in their 80s, and having done an album just 2 years ago, now we are getting another one. If someone would have told me this in 2019 when they were in and out of the studio for 4 years already but we never heard more than snippets, I'd have been like no way!

QuoteAntoineParis And that'ms all folks. I'm very sad, i really thought my 6th years old daughter gonna see them. But it will never happened again i'm afraid. Thanks BV for all. See you Antoine, I know you are very well informed, are you really sure they are done touring? I'm so sorry for you that you can't take your daughter to the Stade de France this summer.

Thank you BV for keeping us updated, all the work. This would have been an amazing summer with the Stones. I am so sad right now, as I planned to see them with many friends and also my family in Rome, Copenhagen, Berlin, Zürich, London, Sevilla and Lisbon. I hope all is well and whatever issue came up either health or logistic-wise can be worked out and that there will be a future tour.

Well if the tour is really off after all that planning, scheduling, venue holds etc. the only reason making sense for this I could imagine is a health issure with a core band member found out during pre tour health check. Let's hope everyone is okay.

I think the pacing of this tour is a bit strange - especially the last month of touring with concerts every Saturday only and one gig per week. That's new. Or maybe it is because of the 20 to 14 gigs reduction.

There are differences depending on the country they play in. In Spain and Portugal crowds are a bit like in South America, huge party! Also younger fans, that's what I noticed. Maybe that's why they wanna play 3 shows in Spain. Concert tickets are usually a bit cheaper than in the US. Organization level and security is the same.

The stones could sell out 3 nights in Stade de France with a 100$ general admission ticket price like it was handled back in the days. But the promoters tend to charge way more which results in less ticket sales.

If I remember well wasn't there discussion about a european fall arena tour in 2013, that disappeared pretty quickly? It must have been around that time when they decided on the new 14-date concept. Maybe the 21 shows in 2013 were too much for them?

Well if the layout is a bit like on bvs tour page this looks more like 18ish dates - otherwise too many long breaks.

Is it known why the Stones have chosen to break their 14-17 gig structure and are now doing 20 shows each tour? Are they maybe forced to by the concert industry as a result of high insurance / organizing prices and fees? It seems like they were were comfortable with around 14 shows from 2014-2022.

Quotehockenheim95 Quotespunky Maybe after Guns n Roses (July 24) if they get the stage ready in 2 days, maybe the concerts on July 27 and 31? The Stones are able to play back to back dates with other artists. They would even be able to play a concert, let another act play the next day and then play another concert a few days later. Also, the Stones last year had only 2 days off between double

I think the band was amazing on all nights of the tour. But you'll notice if you watch songs like Sympathy for the devil or Jumping Jack flash on YouTube that Mick started saving his voice after the Boston gig, that's when they dropped Sweet Sounds Of Heaven for a while. Keith was in full gear by the time they hit Las Vegas I think. NYC shows would probably make a great release.

QuoteSend It To me 2013-present: harder to sort, but Chicago 3 (2013) Kansas City (2015) & Jacksonville (2019) were all shows I saw and were all great Thinking of Chicago 2013, I remembered the very past pacing on JJF on those nights, just look at this video, this is high energy: (even though bad quality)
