They didn't strugle, they maximalised revenue.
Maximizing revenue with €89 tickets - [iorr.org] ?
Maximizing tickets with 525 euro pit and innenraum tickets and therefore having to discount some 5.000 tickets. They sold 90% of the tickets against maximized prices.
They could sell out in minutes, but that is not the game plan if you want to maximize ticket prices.
The only thing which is left to further optimize is dynamic pricing. Which is happening more and more. Let's hope it's not that bad for this 2025 tour.
But those seats were never 500€ or something like that. Original prices were 150€ and 240€ which is quite a normal price. They were not able to sell them at that price because they demand was not there.
The same thing was visible at many concerts last year in the States. While the high priced tickets especially pit were hard to get there we're many Tickets available for as low as 100$ and just didn't sell good. My assumption is there's a limited demand in quantity but the people who go are willing to pay a very high amount of money.

Maybe after Guns n Roses (July 24) if they get the stage ready in 2 days, maybe the concerts on July 27 and 31?
The Stones are able to play back to back dates with other artists. They would even be able to play a concert, let another act play the next day and then play another concert a few days later.

have you ever seen how long it takes to construct and deconstruct huge stages?

If they use the "festival stage" from Guns n Roses they only have to put up their sound, lighs and screens.

Bruce (similar vintage, ticket prices) European dates included double headers in Lille, Liverpool, San Sebastián etc - ie plenty of demand
Bruce immediately sells out stadiums here in Germany while the Stones struggled last time to fill up Munich and Gelsenkirchen. In Munich there were thousands of cheaper seats available in the weeks before the concert and the official numbers of sold tickets prove this. They even had discounted tickets for 89€ via a local newspaper Sale.

No need to compare Springsteen to the Stones and downplay the Stones here. This is off topic.
And I am glad the Stones sell tickets at 89 Euro! Anyone should be able to see the Stones. They also offer Lucky Dips for even less. We should be thankful - I am at least and I hope for Lucky Dips in 2025.
I was both in Gelsenkirchen and Munich and the places were packed.

these pictures were on May 28th, June 2nd and June 3rd. In other words they support my thesis that it takes a while to construct huge stages (and on the third pics taken two days before the shows the construction is not yet finished).
In short: It's very unlikely that the Stones will be able to do a shows one or two days after another big act played the same venue – even not if they use the same basic stage construction

Rolling Stones played in Vienna at 15th of July 2022
Rolling Stones plays on the Guns and Roses Stage !!! 100% !!!
Guns&Roses played 2days before at 13th of July 2022
...so it is possibel that the Rolling Stones
have her 1st Gig at Saturday 26th of July ( Micks Birthday) !!!
and the 2nd at Wednesday 30th of July ( maybe Tourend)
Guns and Roses do not need the Stage because
they are at 31th at Wacken Festival) ( Wacken has her own Stage)
I am only a fan , but this would be really fantastic !

GnR are playing Luxemburg first (on July 28th) and they won't do that gig without a stage…

In short, the latest reports in Spain are saying The Rolling Stones will do their tour start in Barcelona, with two may be three shows. At the Olympic Stadium.
There are talks about both Olympic Stadium and Camp Nou, may be there is a renovation issue, local fans may fill us in here. Thanks!
