>I always thought it was Keith playing bass. I was wrong. Me too. Until I heard that Keith-interview in the In The Studio-series (subject: Beggars Banquet) where he states that the track was already finished when he entered the studio and all he could do was adding his guitar. N

I always assumed that Chainsaw Rocker is a reference to that spoken line in Too Much Blood. The Ramones-theory is not bad either, but one way or another - I'm sure that Chainsaw Rocker is not the title of this outtake. N

The title Chainsaw Rocker is a bootlegger's invention. Cookin' Up is more likely but doubtful as well. My best bet is that the title is Stop That. N

>Ned, do you have a linnk or a title for the circulating video for 1990-08-16 Gelsenkirchen? It's a private video, so there won't be a title for it. I'm sure that no label ever bothered to release it on DVD, as the quality won't match their standards. N

>Does anyone have the complete show for: >1990-08-16 Gelsenkirchen >??? Ever considered to take the missing song from the soundtrack of the private video? The sound quality is not top-notch, but RAAHP is on it in its entirety. N

I don't think Don't Be A Stranger is the song we know as Never Let Her Go. Judging from the line-up, my guess is Do You Get Enough. N

>The credits on "Petrol Blues" is surprising. I always thought Stu played piano on it. I would've never thought it was Jagger. Me too. Jagger speaks to him mid-song. Now I guess it's Stu doing the drums in the background. N

Thanks for your recollections, uhbuhgullayew. The Stones did the same stunt (playing a parking lot) in 1995 in Wolfsburg, Germany, by the way... N

Didn't Jagger say in the Aspekte-interview that he had to write lyrics for some instrumentals in this project? This should be Keep Up Blues and Don't Be A Stranger then. So I don't expect the latter being Fiji Jim... N

Don't know about India, but at least they exclusively released a CD-single there. Maybe they also released SuperHeavy in Peru, as Jagger seems to be in Lima now. N

Maybe the Stones just did a demo of it and it was not intended to be a Stones-single, but a Marianne Faithfull-single (with her doing a Stones-composition) and the press didn't get it right? N

My theory: Either the Stones didn't want to play Scandinavia as they had too much problems with customs and authorities there in 1973 or the government didn't want them in 1976 because of former drugs charges and stuff. Bill Wyman complained in an interview with Swedish radio in June 1982 that they were all strip searched the day ago when entering Sweden (even him and Charlie). N

Must have been in August or early September, probably in London. He said that at the end of his recent BBC2-interview (Simon Mayo Drivetime, aired September 14 but recorded some days earlier) that he finished his work on it "about a week ago" (and that he wants Keith and Ronnie to do one overdub each).
