The single tracks 'Memo From Turner" and 'Too Many Cooks" were excellent, as were his guest appearances on Peter Wolf's albums--His work on the Chieftains album was also good , and on "You're so Vain". His contributions to Ron Woods solo stuff was also spot on. As far a whole albums go, the only one I really like was "Wandering Spirit"- the rest

I've been listening to the new album a lot since I picked it up last Saturday-- really good..... it reminds me in some strange way of Willie Nelsons 'Red Headed Stranger"....the vibe.....and the way its sequenced..... its really well done....the record company is hyping Mike Campbell as the producer, but its pure Marty Stuart......and the Superlatives , of course. They are an amazi

He and his band are incredible-- had to great fortune of seeing them a couple times live and was just blown away-- they play all genres of music effortlessly: hard core country, bluegrass, Gospel, rock and roll, surf ( yes surf ) music--all top shelf ! His band is Superlative and I could listen to them all night-- they also have done some killer cover versions of To

A recent band that got together and did a one-off tour in 2015 & was fantastic was Cooder-White-Skaggs Ry Cooder, Gospel singer Sharon White and Ricky Skaggs. Killer band, would love to see them get together again for another tour and a recording as well.

Did you ever catch the special he was on backing Carl Perkins ? He was part of a band that was comprised of Perkins, George Harrison, Clapton, Ringo, Rosanne Cash and others --- I think it was done in the late 80's--- great stuff

Any love here for Dave Edmunds ? Been on an Edmunds bender recently and am still after all these years blown away by his guitar playing. His solo stuff and work with Rockpile was really enjoyable. Also, his guitar playing on Carlene Carters classic 'Musical Shapes" album and his production work on the Stray Cats 1st album are also stand outs. He is a tasteful guitar player who repeated

I know this must have been covered here in the past, but I have missed it-- What bands would you like to see reform one more time for a tour or recording ? Mine would be Rockpile -- I always loved the spirit of those guys !

Any Joe South fans here ? Was just listening to a "Best of" collection and was really amazed at how good he was--- if you're not familiar with him, he was a Nashville session cat ( played guitar on Dylans Blonde on Blonde ) who had a string of hits in the mid-late 60's "Walk a Mile in My Shoes", "Games People Play", "Down in the Boondocks", De

I think Ronnies first two albums were the balls-- especially the 1st one-- but be honest...better than Keith's ....? no way. Better than Wandering Spirit ? No. Ronnie's done some terrific stuff, but it should be put into perspective. Better than Bill's and Carlie's and Mick T's solo material, but probably more because the material was solid, and the playing was tight wit
