Hang in there, Nate. There’s nothing anyone can really say - I lost my dad about 15 years ago and I miss him every day but it’s true that the pain fades with time and I have many wonderful memories of times together to treasure. It will be the same too for you, I am sure. Be strong. All best wishes.

Quote24FPS Quotetomcat2006 I think everyone agrees that the mid 60s-mid 70s saw the Stones at their peak. So am I the only one who seems almost exclusively to listen to their later era (80s+) music more... and why do I do it? Perhaps I take the earlier classics 'as read'. I don't know. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat... Are you a younger fan? I can see

Quotestone4ever I know its not the Stones at their best musically but Still Life gave me more pleasure than any album ever. The atmosphere of it more than makes up for any weaknesses in the guitar or vocal department. The video release Lets Spend The Night Together was just incredible for me at the time, i kept renting it out from the video store, i just couldn't get enough of seeing the

I think they should have released the Some Girls extra disc as a new, standalone album à la Tattoo You... it would have blown a whole in the charts if promoted that way.

For me, a toss up between Get Yer Ya-Y's Out and Some Girls.... With singular honourable mention to Plundered My Soul. So many goodies out there :-)

QuoteMathijs Quote71Tele A forgettable non-entity, as I have forgotten it and am none the worse. The best advice I can give you: grab that Undercover CD, and play it really loud. Open up your mind to some 'new' Stones, and find that the album actually is much stronger than you remembered. Great lyrics, great singing, great grooves, and the last album where the Stones still meant dange

Quoterebelrebel Blue & Lonesome by a country mile. It's the Stones firing on all cylinders. Crosseyed Heart is just a pleasant Keith Richard's album with a few standout tracks for me. +1

I can never understand how there's not a TAB book out there for this album, when so many less deserving albums have one. Anyone know why this is?

My heart always sank a bit when the idea of a blues covers album was floated - the risk of it being a bit lame and an obvious 'end of the road' release for the Stones was huge. But from what I've heard so far - only 3 tracks I'll admit - I was totally wrong. They are totally on fire and in the moment, it's not at all forced. Blue & Lonesome is a joy to listen t

I know this album gets a lot of stick... But - aside from the generally admired El Mocambo side - I do have to say that it's got probably my favourite version of It's Only R&R. I find this song can often be a bit boring but this version really rocks. Punchy versions of Brown Sugar and JJF too. Like it? Yes I do!

Always loved this song. It's not at all original and there are plenty of reasons why it can be criticised. But it's so much damn fun! "Now who's that black girl with the bright blue hai-rr-rr???"

I got mine at the weekend and have only watched the Paradiso show so far. What can I say? Awesome. You can see they are really enjoying themselves. A bit like the O2 50th anniversary shows - a really joyous celebration. Wonderful.

Yeah, that’s in the can, although it might be a surprise to people and I can’t say any more than that right now. We did sessions in London in December which suddenly gave us a whole load of stuff. I

Quotegeordiestone QuoteOlly Yes, Voodoo Lounge is a memorable album, geordiestone, and your stance gives me the opportunity to once again posit the view that 1994 marked the start of the Stones' finest decade of live performance.Absolutely Olly Tattoo You probably. BUT I always loved Voodoo Lounge + it was my first time seeing them live in America -> 1994 was a banner Stones year i

Parts of the album are now seriously starting to grow on me. I was underwhelmed when I first heard the single Trouble but now find myself constantly replaying it. 'Vintage' modern Keef sound, familiar but minimalist riffing, catchy chorus. Suspicious is also very good. I like Nothing On Me and Love Overdue. So far it's better than Main Offender but not up there with Talk
