1) Some sort of official release of official release of the 1981 Bonds run of shows by The Clash (would have been so much more welcome than the Shea Stadium recording) 2) A complilation series of the Keith Richards vaults (lots of goodies mentioned in Life) 3) It always struck me as odd that there never was a Van Halen live album from the first DLR era 4) Bob Dylan Massey Hall- Gospel Er

What about Claudine? I would think that Mick and Don Was could easily punch in "Nadine" in place of "Claudine" and release it otherwise as-is if they are still worried about a lawsuit. Does anybody really remember this scandal any more other than people who read this board?

I picked up a used copy of the 1987 Roy Buchanan recording "Hot Wires" last week. As I was loading it into itunes today, I looked it up in the All Music Guide website and was surprised to see the opening track "High Wire" credited to: Buchanan, Jagger, Richards The song is a blazing / wankish guitar instrumental and bears no relationship to the 1991 Highwire by our boys.

Saw him last fall. Amazed at his ability to smoke on the guitar in spite of his frailty. He is one of a kind, one of the greats.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Dirty Work As far as Lou Reed goes, I was pretty taken aback by the deep dive into the "Artiste Persona" of Songs for Drella + Magic and Loss and the rest of his career after the rock and roll classic New York. New York is a top 10 album for me and easily my favorite album by him since the Velvet Underground but I cannot listen to pretty much anythi

The Shoes, great power pop band In the same vein, anybody listen to Sloan from Canada, eh? Evidently they are huge in The Great White North. I am very enamored with a Black Keys-esque blues duo from Australia called The Blackwater Fever Not obscure but I am probably one of five people left in the world who still pre-orders new Mudhoney albums BTW: I am going to see John Hammond tomorr

The video they were showing when I was there was Sweet Home Chicago and it was excellent. It included interviews with Jagger and Buddy Guy as well as the old guard legends. I did notice that they were playing a VHS copy at the museum and it looks like it has never come out on DVD. Too bad, it is a good one.

I was in Chicago last week for a Buddy Guy show at Legends. On Friday afternoon, my friend and I were kicking around town and decided to visit 2120 S. Michigan Avenue. My friend had a vague idea that the old Chess Records studio had been turned into a museum. I am really glad we visited, it was a great way to spend the afternoon. It serves as the headquarter's for Willie Dixon'

As an aside, I picked up Just For A Thrill in a used record store the other day and have been enjoying it. There is a great 10 minute medley built around Hit The Road Jack. Also a nice interpretation of Taxman.
