After the Red Devils, Lester Butler had a band called Thirteen and they made an album called 13. It's pretty great. If you like King King, you will like 13 as well.

I saw the movie last night, really enjoyed it. A very good rock doc. For what it's worth, I liked the McCartney song. What kind of crazy guitar was Paul playing?

I used to be partial to Static In The Attic but it is now largely redundant with the Deluxe Some Girls.

Tom Waits- For decades people I love and respect have raved about Tom Waits. Every time I try, I just don't get it. Foo Fighters- Love Nirvana, love Dave Grohl as a personality, loved some covers the Foo Fighters have done (like the totally unexpected and totally right-on version of Young Man Blues they busted out at the Who tribute). But outside of Everlong, I just don't get it.

Quoteandrewt QuoteSilver Dagger They were great in their day. Like a cross between The Velvet Underground and early The Beach Boys with a fuzzed out psychotic sound. Didn't know they had reformed. Absolutely go and see them. Yes GO! For Free, you can't miss. If it weren't for the traffic I'd hike down to Buffalo tonight and catch it. As it is, I'm seeing them at the Pho

The first time I heard Green Day on MTV, I thought Somebody is ripping off the Buzzcocks? Really? My infatuation with Everclear lasted for a month or two when Sparkle and Fade came out, Santa Monica was a fantastic song but I have a hard time going back to it. I got to seem them in a little punk rock club called Satyricon right when that album was starting to hit, a good memory of a sweaty

Rosa's has a Blues Jam on Thursday nights that can be hit and miss but I have enjoyed myself there. Blues Heaven / 2120 S. Michigan Avenue is walking (longish) from Legends / The South Loop and a great way to spend the afternoon before going out in the evening. Enjoy yourself, one of my favorite places to visit.

The first three have all been professional versions of long-widely circulated and popular bootlegs. I would not expect any big surprises (such as a pristine 1970 show). Leeds, Atlantic City '89 etc are the probable candidates.
