Aren't these numbers the gross income of the ticket sale? So that goes to the promoter and the stones receive a fixed sum of money agreed beforehand, right?

Interesting to see the total gross income. That's a lot of money. It would be interesting to see how much they get paid and how much of that is actual profit and how goes to all the costs of salaries for the whole crew, stage, transport etc.

Review Sydney show: I haven't seen them since 2007 and after the Hanging Rock Show being cancelled twice I got tickets for the Hunter Valley show but living in Sydney and having them play in my town and not go is of course not an option so I got a ticket yesterday. Allphones arena must be one of the cleanest and sterile places I've ever seen a concert at. I'm used to the Amsterd

Anyone know around what time they will hit the stage at the hunter valley concert?

By that logic they should tour with Ian McLagan.

Have they made announcements in the past about the first show after a cancelled one? If they do, which I don't think they will, it won't be until Wednesday morning.

What do you think the chances are that some of them will play somewhere in Melbourne tomorrow. Darryl, Lisa, Bernard, Tim maybe even Ronnie? Charlie sat in at a jazz concert in Perth in April so it's not that far fetched. I saw Bobby Keys in Sydney in April and it was great. I'd take any stone/stp.

Oh my... That's the second time we booked flights, accommodation to see them in hanging rock... It sucks but unfortunately there's nothing you can do about it. On my way to another stone less weekend in Melbourne. Luckily we could still get tickets to Hunter Valley.

Hi guys, I always assumed Start me Up was in the key of C (major), like Brown Sugar. I saw the playlist of Ahoy 2003 and it listed Start Me UP with the key of F. How does this work because the base chord seems C to me? So Ronnie plays the solo in F major or minor?

I always take people to the stones concert that have never seen them before. Of course I like to hear a lot of obscure songs but I also like to have my friends saying after the concert "holey cow, I never realised that they have so many hits" and they are always blown away. That can only happen with a lot of warhorses.

QuotePietro QuoteLeonidP Foo Fighters cover Miss You last night (this morning, actually), live at the Cubby Bear, Chicago: Not too shabby! Not too shappy? That sucked! And what kind of performer drinks out of a plastic cup in the middle of a song? ! Check Miss You from the Adelaide show, Keith and Ronnie both drink from a plastic cup during Miss You.

That is very sad news. I saw Bobby Keys half a year ago in Sydney with his solo band and it really hit me how unique his sound is when they played brown sugar. As with any band covering the song it sounded good but clearly it was missing the stones sense of timing. And then it was time for the sax solo and the world made sense again. It's that unique sound and style that's such a great

In this case the tunes are so mediocre it may have influenced their decision, I certainly wouldn't buy them. peace This quote is from Bono's open letter on U2.com: "You’ll have noticed the album is free to U

QuoteDandelionPowderman How can you spot that?? To me, it looks like he's only stretching out... Well, I'm not sure of course but it's just my interpretation. I was at the show and as the review states, Keith absolutely butchers the opening riff of Brown Sugar so I assume that Jagger is reacting to this, especially the first bit.

I came across this video of the stones walking to the stage in Amsterdam, 2003. Check out Jagger's reaction when Keith walks on stage and he is a bit slow with starting Brown Sugar. Judging from Jagger's reaction it's the show where he messed up the intro. Jagger sure didn't like that video:

QuoteChacal No matter what chummy relations may exist, that intense look is Taylor's non verbal communication to Ronnie. He is letting RW know they're going to play Can't You Hear Me Knocking HIS way. When they first started rehearsing it with MT, most of the band thought they'd be using the arrangement they were familiar with (which included a solo from Woody). And Tay
