Quote5stringTele This will be viewed as a national tragedy in France. It's a sad loss to Catholics around the world, especially during Holy Week. It's a sad day to those who can appreciate the loss of something that holds such artistic and historic importance. I am baffled to find that there are shallow, self-centered sociopaths around who get off on trolling threads where people are

He actually looks and sounds pretty good in this doc. But, the Hammond B3 is what gave Lee his best sound, at least his live shows. There is precious little on the internet of his live, filmed performances.

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteDaveG Hey, would like to meet you. I’m thinking of doing dinner and a table near the stage. That would be great. Just checked with my better half and she can't make that night, so I would be going solo. Would be nice to see if we could get an IORR table, perhaps with a few of us.. an after party if you will They will also combine tables if we had a small group. (I&

QuoteMisterDDDD Also mentioned in the Seattle thread.. Saw her at Jazz Alley a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it! (even got a hug from Lisa on the way out as she generally thanks people for coming) Also saw her the night before Desert Trip at a local hotel venue nearby. Was certain she was going to appear as a guest with the band, but not to be. Charlie (who I literally almost bump

I noticed that Lisa Fischer is going to be performing at Dimitrou’s Jazz Alley on May 23, the night after the Stones show. I am planning to go, but I’m wondering, do any of you think that any of the boys will show up? Has that happened in recent years? I’m going to attend just the same but thinking about that possibility.

Quotekeefriff99 QuoteDaveG I've never heard of Gene Okerlund. I guess one had to be a fan of the "sport" of "professional wrestling". Hey, great idea, man...let's all mock the deaths of people we don't know to appear edgy. Let me know when of your relatives dies so I can do the same. keef, I wasn’t trying to mock the deceased. May he Rest In Peace. But, you

QuoteRockman I just remembered seeing a shot in LIFE magazine many years ago of Ronnie outside Graceland in a pink Cadillac ….. Hazy but I recall it was a one page article and Ronnie saying something about how he regretted that he never got to meet Elvis.... That was the article that I referred to earlier. I remember it was Life Magazine, and the Cadillac. I think he said something in the

I remember reading somewhere that Ronnie saw him perform in Las Vegas, and didn't particularly care for the performance. This was an article from many years ago but can't remember which publication.

Quotehopkins Quoteschillid Nice. Did anyone else notice/ mention: At the song's coda, the rest of the band waits for Paul to count them back in... But Ringo comes in early which caused Ronnie to also come back in early. It's all good... The song does NOT have a code Schillid. It's a shit song rip off of Little Sister but at least he's not coding. That crap didn't

That was epic! What a lucky break for all in attendance! However . . . it is painful to listen to Paul sing. His voice is just shot. Over the past few years, it has gotten weaker and weaker. He is a trouper, he still gives it his all, but I cannot pretend to not hear what I'm hearing.
