Quotekovach Quotedaspyknows Quotekovach I'm sure insurance actuaries are running numbers and will ultimately call the shots here (no pun intended). I haven't been following the hospitalization or death #'s here in the states recently though I thought I saw a report suggesting with the vaccine and immunity from having the bug they're about equal with the flu at this point.

Every delay means there's less of a chance this tour happens at all. I posted several pages back that I suspect we've seen the last Stones live show. I hope I'm wrong but expecting a group of men aged 74, 77, 77, and 80 to still all have their health, at least to the extent they can withstand the rigors of even a small tour and 2hrs on stage each show, another year on is very wis

Not out of the woods yet, not by a long shot. We're starting to think and feel that way in the U.S. but I'm not sure that's a good thing given the trends with the Delta variant. In the end however, it seems there are just too many people who prefer the false sense of freedom from lifted restrictions over common sense and there's no turning back now. The proverbial cat is ou

QuoteHairball From WHO Chief scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan today via CNN: "Everyone should recognize that this pandemic is not over… It's not that we can’t travel or do anything, but this is really not the time for us to encourage a lot of social mixing, to encourage mass events, especially without precautions, wherever you live in the world because these variants, you know, th

It's curious too how many folks will say "we don't know the long-term effects of the vaccine" as a reason for hesitancy or outright refusal to be vaccinated. Yet, they are okay with the equally unknown long-term effects of getting covid, just so long as they don't die? The vaccine is also the best defense against emerging and potentially more dangerous variants, whic

Quotebleedingman I find it ludicrous that the school of thought among some laymen is that if you don't get vaccinated, you will get the virus. If one follows that train of thought then many, many people who, for whatever reason are not vaccinated, maybe a billion or so people, will get sick and possibly die. That is not science, that is propaganda. It's perhaps overstated but seems th

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuoteJN99 Is there a direct link or some way to get to the postponed shows to see ticket availability? I can't seem to figure it out on tm.com. Easiest way - google ‘Ticketmaster Rolling Stones No Filter’ and add city name. Watch out for fake sites like Ticketfaster. Here’s one link: Thanks, that link helped me figure out how to search. Oddly, tm returns no re

That link not working for me and the one I tried to post here gave an error I did find and read it though, essentially Brexit royally screws up touring (for the moment) for UK acts. Assume they will eventually get it sorted but equally assume it's not top of the list. So many unintended (or unknown, unconsidered, uncared about, unthought of) consequences of Brexit...

QuoteDGA35 I mentioned on the Stones postponing thread about Elton. I saw him in Vancouver twice in Sept 2019 and each show was identical down to the between song talking. I'm sure the BC Place show will sell out since it's the only one for Western Canada and the US Northwest. There is a big gap before Vancouver and after so I'm sure he might add a couple more cities. I think

Ah, I remember the good 'ol days of early internet buying and logging on at the on sale time and actually getting through and then actually getting good tickets! I bought a bunch for No Security that way, almost all in the first 15 -20 rows on the floor. Now, even if you're in within the first minute there's usually nothing good available anyway!

QuoteMisterDDDD Not seeing the lie that you so desperately want to hang your hat on son. And frankly, it isn't relevant. Giving the best info until more is known, data collected, theories proven or disproven, is what was needed. Some folks are just uninterested in facts and data, and science and medicine so you might as well go talk to a rock in your yard, just as much will get through

QuoteTopi The word around the campfire before was that the Stones wanted to tour in 2021 but the insurance companies wanted to push it back to 2022. Also, I heard this: "The logistics company that handles their trucks were receiving inquiries to tour as early as May. May of course won’t be happening but it does show their intent to tour sooner than later." I hope I'm wrong

Quotejahisnotdead QuotedennycraniumWhile I'm enjoying the latest drop FFSO, not a single standout track, for me anyways. Wow. I truly feel for any Stones fan that can't find one thing to get jazzed about among all those songs. Couldn't agree more. I didn't have to get far into this at all to find tracks (Nobody's Perfect and Dreams...) that I really enjoyed. The gui

Quotenorthernale1 seems for Buffalo, they over valued some sections,, they are hardly touched at the pricing they are listed at think they will drop price? No, price drops don't seem to be a part of the equation. There is face value and then platinum, which is always higher, and the various packages, also higher.

QuoteMidnightDevilRambler QuoteJN99 PIT continues to be the best value, though hard to equate a $500 ticket as a good value. Anyone else notice the floor tix that were $350-$400 last year are all $500 (ish) this time? No thanks... Compared to 2019 tickets I bought for football stadiums they are about 20% higher for same seat locations. The old boys are really building up their retirement a

QuoteTopi Quotekeef94 Patience! These "face value" tickets are like an opening negotiation. I'm saying not just no, but "HELL NO" to the tickets at these prices. They will sink like a Stone as we get closer to the shows. I don't think this is true. Last year pit tickets never went below 442+fees anywhere. Glendale I think was the cheapest. Once again, I got PIT tickets last year for CHI 1, 2, and Seattle all the week of the show. There is no reason to think demand is going to be greater or these tickets any harder to come by this year. I had two in the cart for Minneapolis and decided to pass so I can firm up plans and finalize which show(s) I will attend. I have no doubt I'll be able to get tose PIT tickets again when/if I

QuoteChrisMahavishnu For a moment I thought this would be the first pre-sale where I would score regular pit tickets at face value, sadly despite tickets showing as available for both Pit A and Pit B for quite some time it kept giving me the message that another fan had beaten me to it. TM tis slow, very slow... No reason to panic. Based on last year there will be plenty of availability at all price levels and seating areas, including PIT right up until the show. The one thing I did NOT see last year, was much of a pullback on prices; even the secondary market seemed pretty stable.
