For a lot of fans who want the deeper cuts, more variety on the setlist, etc. it's likely going to always be a bit of a disappointment. I remember being really jazzed about sets for the two Licks theater shows I was lucky to get into. Other than that it's been excitement for a few songs here and there. My issue with it now isn't the set as much as the quality of the performanc

He just cannot play much of anything anymore and he needs time to process what he's trying to do, or wants to do, and you just can't do that live. You can see it in any solo he attempts.

It looks like the set list template for this tour is set now. I don't think we should expect much to change, if anything. There's the couple rotational slots up front and perhaps a new song here or there in the "vote" slot but the rest looks like it will remain unchanged. It's no surprise really, but still find it a bit disappointing.

Quotefalo01 QuoteProfessorWolf another video of monkey man Interesting "guitar break" at 2:40 for about 20sec. Accidentally or by purpose? Sounds interesting.... That's Keith completely missing his queue or otherwise not being ready or able to play the riffs there. For anyone who says he's nailing a solo or playing great, I'm not sure what you're seeing or

QuoteTopi And apparently the way the Houston venue actually handled the Early Entry VIP's was a mess. Disorganized, lack of communication, clueless security, etc. Again, I wasn't there, this is based on reports by people who had the package. They're very organized taking our money though aren't they?

Quoteskytrench I'd like to add to your assesment JN99, that maybe you have the wrong expectations for Keith...I'd like to see you sing, play rhythm guitar and the solo on Little T&A when you reach 80, stand up for 2+ hours with a guitar round your neck and master some 30-40 different tracks without hesitation on the opening night. In the 70s heyday the setlists were often less varie

As has been said and is entirely accurate, being there is different from watching videos. There's really no arguing that. That said, there's plenty to tell about a performance from videos and watching the ones from this show just make me sad. Again I will say, Charlie is missed. Keith, the reason I am a Stones fan, play guitar, and am in a band myself is just a shadow of himself

It seems to me that everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether that's bitching or not. And when the band is delivering this type of performance, but still charging $500 for tickets, then some level of bitching is to be expected. And, IMO, it is deserved. They are to be commended for pulling this off at their age, no doubt, but it's no longer worth the price of admission to me. A

Poking around axs for CHI and honestly it's the stupidest platform imaginable. Just a list of price levels with a radio button. What? Only sections shown are Pit and GA. How about showing us sections, or at least general areas, How about a clickable map? P7 means absolutely nothing. It's like a 1990's site...

QuoteTopi AXS now pulls face pits for CHI after all out the door for 699USD That's just completely absurd and offensive. I'd be hard pressed to fork over that much even if Charlie was still with us. It's a hard pass for me too (again).

There will be PLENTY of tix in all price ranges available for face value or below between now and the shows. No need to panic, no need to queue for presales. This is fabricated hype.

Nice Mick solo track there... I miss Charlie and hope he's on more than just a couple tracks. I've always liked at least some, in many cases a lot of the newer material but that seriously sounds more like Mick solo than anything from the Stones. Granted, it's only 19 seconds...

Copy now or copy ever? It's a moot point if talking about Keith, an almost 80 yr old now. However, in his prime while he'd probably never have been a shredder, he was plenty competent to do more and copy more guitarists if he'd been so inclined. Plus, why would he ever want to copy anyone who came after him?

QuoteRocktiludrop It's so strange to just see three Stones taking a bow, that really hit me. Agree, it's heartbreaking, to me at least. Seeing it has put a lump in my throat, that feeling of loss again.

Keith is facing issues of age and it shows in his playing both mentally and physically. I love the guy but it's been hard to watch the decline in his playing. It's still pretty incredible that they're out there doing this though. And now they do so without Charlie, which will affect Keith as well.

Here in WA where we have pretty decent vaccination rates Aug was the worst month for cases ever. Hospitalizations also at an all time high. That's true in many places yet more people are out and about, more people are going unmasked, more events are being held, etc. It's hard to understand the laissez faire attitude given current data points.

I have come here every day, multiple times a day since Charlie passed. It has been one of the ways for me of dealing with the sadness and the shock of the sudden loss. I was fully expecting Charlie would be fine, that he had a routine procedure that went well and, with any luck, we'd be seeing him on stage once again in 2022. Sadly, it was not to be of course. The loss hit me much hard

My fondness for Charlie grew over the years. I came to appreciate the reluctant soldier keeping this band going for his bandmates and all us fans. I admired him and appreciated him so much for continuing to go out on the road when it was well known he didn't really like touring. I've lost count but 55 or so Stones shows and I thank Charlie most of all for bringing the joy of those into

They can, and should roll on if it's what they feel like they need and/or want to do. However, it's simply not the Rolling Stones anymore, to me at least. I doubt I will go see them, not under the RS banner at any rate. Keith and Charlie are what it was all about for me. We can debate the Stones' legacy and if or when they should have bowed out by now but I'm forever gra

Yesterday's shock has settled in with today's immense sadness. I am surprised at the depth of it. Though I always knew it would be a very sad day when one of these men passed, I had no idea just how hard it would hit me. It just hurts and I feel a void I've scarcely known. I still can't believe it.
