I guess folks are actually watching the show instead of filming it. Good for them, bad for us.

I remember at Radiohead in 2008 I was on the 'T' rail about halfway to the soundboard and was talking to someone next to me, and all of a sudden there was a crowd surge and they got pushed forward and dissappeared while I held on like crazy to the inside rail. (a pity since they smuggled in some booze and were prepared to share it).It settled fairly quickly but that was the last time I

Check out Robbie Krieger's new book 'Set The Night On Fire' (Ray already used 'Light My Fire' for his book title). He dispels many of the myths about Jim and the band - many of which were propagated by Ray, as well as Oliver Stone in that movie. The timeline jumps around, but it paints a picture and offers plenty of juicy tidbits of the 60's rock and roll scene an

Quoterlj1010 Got my lucky dips. I know it's hard to complain because they were so cheap, but kinda disappointed compared to all the other success stories this leg... Rear GA. Oh well... will try to make the best of it. Some people have had success getting in the pit just with their LD wristband. Worth a shot.

Good stuff. Apparently that episode was written years before it actually came to production and airing, but it took a long time to get all the rock stars on board and scheduled into the studio.

According to setlist.fm, they did play June 25 and 26, with similar setlists, although they did not play 'Twenty Flight Rock' at the first show, therefore the new release is the 26th, as it does contain that song - unless it was inserted in to the 25th for release, or the disc is a compilation of the two shows. 25th - 26th - Adding to the confusion, is they're calling th

Quotebye bye johnny QuoteSockers56 I see tickets will be on sale at MyHRL.com (Hard Rock site). Is there any advantage buying the tickets here as opposed to www.rollingstones.com? "Buy Now" on Hard Rock Live website redirects to Ticketmaster. It will likely all be Ticketmaster in the end. All the other Hard Rock shows are TM.

I agree, without Lou Reed, it's really John Cale's version of things (as diplomatic as he is), with a little input from Mo. Shame there's a lack of live synched footage, and even a bit paltry on pics from the post-Cale era. They also could've talked about the 1993 reunion and why it fizzled (Apparently Lou Reed said:"Cale and I can't stand each other"). Still, a

Yes, I found the transitions in MR kind of abrupt. As someone who played (bass) in a Stones tribute band, MR was one of the trickier tunes to get the drummer onboard with, especially going into speeding up slightly in the last verse. After a while, though, we were able to really stretch it out '72-style, complete with a bluesy breakdown in the middle and transition tempos passably. It

Oakland show is where they used the Grateful Dead's gear, I believe. They seem to sound better here, playing Fender Dual Showmans and such. Also much of the GD gear was modified or hot-rodded.
