Watched it and thought it was ok. Right off it focuses on the Stones, then delves into his childhood, beginnings in music, etc. Could have stood a little more editing, but it already runs only 90 minutes. He's definitely a consummate musician and a seemingly even keeled guy with a solid head on his shoulders. Of course, the Stones have nothing but praise, and it does touch on the issue

The 'Flags Blocking the View For Everyone in the Back' festival. I hope Elton tells them: "God hates flags".

That footage is pure gold, although I've seen parts of it from bootlegs, et al. The barn, and CSNY (in various configurations) doing vocals in the studio were the best parts imo, and the talk was overall pretty interesting. In true Neil fashion, he ad-libbed (with a few edits) a new intro, which was amusing and a nice touch.

I think a lot of celebs don't mind signing autographs in certain situations to real fans - people who genuinely appreciate them for their art, but it's the vultures who want 10 things signed so they can sell them on ebay that make people like Ringo and McCartney say "that's it - no more autographs to anyone, ever". There's an interesting scene in the doc 'The

Can't say I'm too impressed with the new album. Nothing says Crazy Horse like laid back whistle-y tunes and accordion.

When I saw the 'Monsanto Years' tour (the one where he was railing against Starb*cks) with POTR in 2015 in Seattle, there was one right in the concession area at the Wamu Theater - you could almost see it from the stage. Guess he neglected to check if it was 'clean' beforehand. I saw a bunch of shows, acoustic and electric, on that last tour in 2019. He was pretty good solo

Just watched the remastered bluray of 'Elvis:That's the Way It Is' from his Vegas residency in 1970. Absolutely killer band featuring the legendary James Burton on guitar and although some consider it 'the beginning of the end' for Elvis, he does deliver here and rehearsal footage shows him directing the band to his vision of song arrangements, proving he was more than

Saw him open for Fats Domino in 1985 or so. Played mostly country, but when he did rock out, it was great. RIP Jerry Lee

Amazing the whole concert is there (unlike the official Vancouver 83 release). Interesting camera angles. Sound is passable, but definitely 'B' grade mono. Not necessarily a bad thing because you can see more of the band, but the light show is not as effective in the daylight. Only towards the end do you get a sense of it. Now we just need the full proshot Hong Kong 83 show to

Rundgren's really on the tribute kick lately - first The Beatles tribute with Denny Laine, now this. No complaints, though. I'd hit this if it came my way.

I watched a live feed on twitter. He sounds about what I expect from a 79.9 year old Paul. Definitely leans on his band for many of the higher notes, and his midrange gets pretty warble-y at times. He can just about make his way through 'Maybe I'm Amazed', but it was still pretty iffy, as was the opener 'Can't Buy Me Love'. His voice seemed to warm up a little as it

I was at the show in Victoria. Thought it was pretty rockin'. Cheap Trick was better than expected and Billy Gibbons really carried the show with ZZ Top. It was strange to see the bass tech replacement looking like a muppet corpse of Dusty Hill with the obviously fake wig and beard, but he did his job adequately. Billy's vocals were a bit buried, but he sounded a bit craggy around the e

Some folks really buy into the fairytale illusion of a disgustingly rich family who don't have any real power, surrounded by sycophants, and mindlessly locked into a 'tradition' that offers not much more than having the prefix 'Sir' before your name, and are considered 'blue-blooded royalty' by a family of murderous racist sexual predators. The band that played at RAH was really Roger's band with Pete sitting in. If you watch the whole concert, Roger even says so at one point. The tour will likely be the same band as 2019 with full local orchestra.

In a documentary about sidemen, Bernard Fowler says he can only afford take a few weeks off after a Stones tour before he has to start pounding the pavement again. Who knows what kind of lifestyle he lives, though. When asked if he feels like a Rolling Stone, he replied:"No, I don't make Rolling Stones kind of money". Ha.

"Sometimes during the first two or three songs, they are onstage by themselves. I don’t need to be there. In that case, I have a television and a sound monitor backstage so I can sing those double parts when they come." Thought so.
