A friend of mine, once said to me that he enjoyed a Billy Joel concert more than the Stones . He added that Billy's songs live are just as they are on record. And that the Stones songs are almost unrecognizable live. IIRC the Steel Wheels tour, the Stones tried to play the songs as they were on record. I also remember Keith saying that the songs "Grow up" and evolve. TO be t

Is anyone else surprised that the Stones are playing the US again this summer? I know I am. I would have guessed they would have toured in a different market.

I consider 1991 Bills official exile (see what I did there.....)... He was in the Stones for 29 years and it has been 29 since he left. If you would have told me the Stones were not even half way through this journey at that point I would have never believed it. I still miss Having Bill in the band.

Hot Rocks is a great choice. I had bought "Made in the Shade" first, but I lost interest in the album soon after. It was after I heard JJ Flash and got Hot Rocks that I really took interest in the Stones music.

I'm on the skeptical side....It reminds me of one of those exaggerated fishing stories. The person who caught the average fish and then goes on to proclaim he captured Moby Dick. Why would someone after being "Gifted" a piece of art worth "Well over a million" who promised not to tell the press. Betray that?

Quotecaschimann Lovely Story! And just curious: What has become of you if not a musician? Thanks for asking Caschimann I have been a small business owner since the age of 20. I also have 20+ years in industrial construction. I still believe I have a musical masterpiece in me somewhere just waiting to emerge......

My Stones "Timeline" goes something like..... I had heard many Stones song over the years but first current "hit" on radio rotation was "Angie"....I was 11 and we had just moved and I listened to it on headphones lying on the mattress on floor. The song really resonated with me, because it was a goodbye and moving on song, and that's where I was in my life.

It was a bitter-sweet night for me. I went to the show with my Sister, her husband and daughter and my two teenage kids. We arrived early at Metlife at around 5:30. We were invited to the "Shodoobie" tail gate party in the E-21 section of the parking lot. Within minutes I talking with old friends that I have not seen in as many as 20+ years. We just picked up right where we left off

QuoteTopi For tonight's show, there are some decent floor seats in sections 2, 4 and 5 available on Ticketmaster for face value. GA's as well. Are the seats in section 4 in the back have a good view? Are we talking about standing on chairs all night? I want to bring my Daughter and I'm not sure if I should get floor or seats higher up? Any thoughts? Thank you

Hello fellow Stones fans. I just wanted to share something. I almost got scammed on craigslist. Someone was selling great seats at just under cost. They claimed to have four seats. They were asking $260 each and we settled for $650 for all four. They asked to use PayPal and use "Family and friends" which is not protected. They said the seats were 27 through 30.....The row only w

QuoteTornAndFried QuoteLibrarian Should I just show up? I am a couple hrs away. Yes, just go to the stadium with some cash. You can keep checking on StubHub and Ticketmaster to see if the prices start going down and also check at the box office. As a last resort you can try buying some tickets outside the stadium. Have someone go inside first to be sure they are not counterfeits before you pay

Quotecustom55 QuoteMisterO Has anyone bought tickets off craigslist ?.....I have seen adverts for tickets that appear to be removed by CL Don't buy from CL. Why would you when there are more reputable ticket resalers? The reason I asked was because I have seen tickets on ticketmaster that were $ 400 + on CL for $ 150

QuoteJfk19562003 Does anyone play Ronnie Wood albums anymore? I mean, when was the last time? That's a fair question.....I myself rarely listen to albums in their entirety any longer, unless I am performing a task such as spring cleaning. So I would have to guess it's been at least 10 years since I threw on "Gimmy some neck". I really enjoy the "What are you listing

Everyone always talks about his book. But it was his newsletters that really were magic. There really was not much going on with the Stones in the 80's. Beggers Banquet filled the void. I always looked forward to receiving my copy and when it came I dropped everything to read it. It was sort of like a great 30 minute TV show that I was hooked on.
