I went to the first O2 show and both Hyde Park shows. I can't split them, but seeing the Stones in Hyde Park on hot summer evenings just shades it.

What a shame. I wonder if the tour will be at risk? You have to feel for Mick.

QuoteDean QuoteCaptainCorella QuoteDean Mick and Keith have both done "Desert Island" over the years on the BBC. Not according to the Official Site They, and Bill, have done "My Top Twelve" which although similar is not the same thing. Looking through the official site to see who chose Stones' songs, and which ones is fun. I think you are right Captain. Mick

I was 8 when Mick left the Stones so I was thrilled to see him on stage with Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie at the O2 and at Hyde Park. Happy birthday Mr Taylor!

I've heard most of his solo stuff and it leaves me cold. I like a couple of tracks on Monkey Grip and then not much else. The Rhythm Kings are great as is the Willie & the Poor Boys album. Bill's better in a band than solo.

His notoriety was created by Fleet Street who portrayed him as some sort of modern-day Robin Hood. He wasn't a main part of the gang and had a pretty trivial role in the whole episode. Either way he was a criminal on the run from justice. He returned to the UK for the free healthcare. I'll shed no tears at his passing.

Good to see Marvin getting a mention. I love Keith's Make No Mistake but my absolute favourite is the Look of Love by Dusty Springfield. Beautiful words sung by a stunning voice. I also love Close To You by The Carpenters. Again, what a voice! Finally, this one holds some cherished personal memories for me. Otis Redding, Try A Little Tenderness I'm not sure if yo

I would change anything but I reckon it's upwards of £15K. Trips to the States in 1989 and 1994; several shows on various European tours since 1982. Add in hotels and travel plus countless books, CD's, DVD's etc. It sure adds up!

I've got an on-line subscription so I've copied the text. Hope the formatting is OK! Ronnie Wood has given up booze and drugs — but he can’t put his paintbrushes down. Bryan Appleyard tackled the “junior” Stone on his current addiction. Ronnie Wood is explaining what happened when, a few years ago, Keith Richards fell out of a tree in Fiji. He is standing up with his back to me, g

I was out of the UK last weekend so didn't see the gig live on BBC but recorded it via my PVR. I watched it last night. Reading this thread , it strikes me that it's one of those "you had to be there" gigs. I felt the BBC coverage portrayed a flat performance. The cameras seemed preoccupied with Mick and the dynamism of a Stones gig was not conveyed. Friends and colleagu
