I think his solo live album Live It Up is fantastic too. It's from 1982, not the best times for rock 'n roll, but he nailed it on this one. Rip David

Quotesnoopy2 Finally watched Rolling Thunder Revue, didn't think I would enjoy it but I fell in love with it.. I thought some of the live performances were amazing, Isis, Hurricane, my favorite part was watching a more modern day Dylan reflect back on it, it's the most unguarded I remember seeing him in interviews -- maybe there's a lot more interview material like that but the cli

QuoteNilsHolgersson QuoteRG Amsterdam June 9 added to the tourpage, as I told you 19 pages ago. Oh no not the ArenA again.. Yeah mixed emotions... Last time at the rescheduled show in 2022 the sound was ok from my position, but at Springsteen's Arena show in 2023 the sound was a disaster.

Rock acts mean less and less to young people. They like individual tracks but not as many listen to complete albums as was usual in 'the old days'. So they just come for the few big names left, the legends, not even knowing many of the songs. In a way I don't mind.I saw the Sheepdogs in November and they were amazing. Full house meant about 700 people, Tix we're less than 30 e

I think his electric rhythm guitar playing used to be fine too. It fitted in the sound of his bands. But he's never been known for his soloing ofcourse. Then why - at the respectable age of 83 after years of not playing the guitar live at all - start a sold out show in Antwerp sitting down with your back to the audience noodling on an electric guitar in the wrong key or scale? And why - like

Saw him in Antwerp last night. The Lotto Arena is a great venue for live music. Bob was dominant indeed, a bit too much imho. He played guitar during the intro's of the first two songs, Watchtower and It ain't me baby. In a few minutes he played more bum notes than Keith does on an entire tour. When he switched to piano it got a little better, but not much. He was way too loud in the mi

Saw them when they opened for Jason Isbell in Amsterdam Paradiso November 2022. Loved it, lots of energy and they really rocked! RnT

Bought it this morning despite the many negative comments. Expectations were low and you know what: I enjoyed it tremendously so far, listening in my car to CD one. Sure, they left in the bum notes, but what a great atmosphere and a fantastic setlist ofcourse. Kick ass rock ‘n roll! RnT

Thanks for all the comments. Pettibone is on many of her records ofcourse and was in the band in 2013 for the European tour. In 2016 and 2017 she toured here with Mathis as her guitarplayer. He’s a very intuitive player and I really enjoyed his playing. In 2023 she had both Doug Pettibone and Stuart Mathis in the band. I hope Stuart’s well. RnT

Just came back from Lucinda Williams' live show in Amsterdam. Was surprised to see former Black Crowes guitarplayer Marc Ford in her band. I really missed Stuart Mathis though. Does anybody know why he's no longer playing with Lucinda? RnT

The book looks fantastic. Buddy Holly was a great songwriter in a time when not many artists wrote their own songs. He inspired many young musicians who started in the early sixties. Good to see many of them collaborated.

Thanks Bye Bye Johnny. " A midshow run of bluesy deep cuts — including the wintry “Seasons of Wither” a thundering “Rats in the Cellar” stretched out with guitar jams, and a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Stop Messin’ Around” with Perry on lead vocals — seemed to test the crowd’s patience; the energy in the room was restored by the schlocky ballad “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing.” Can you bel

QuoteTopi There have been rumors about 2024. This is what The Independent writes re: Ireland: "Bruce Springsteen eyes Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Kilkenny for multiple-gig Ireland tour in 2024," And: "Both The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney are on tour next year but have commitments outside Europe."

Well I just read Pete Townshend's autobiography which makes clear that the Who were primarily a vehicle for Pete's musical adventures and not as much a band as the Stones were in the studio. Everything was pre-recorded by him in his home studio's. And he is a devoted collector. So there's obviously far more material to choose from than the Stones have preserved.

In the reviews many complaints about the so called 'Dutch disease'. Lots of people hardly paying attention to the artist. Talking and boozing instead and thereby spoiling the concert for the people who DO want to listen to the music. Happened in the Arena as well though the sound there was so bad that it hardly mattered. Modern times I guess.

We got Detroit Medley tonight in Amsterdam. Great setlist, bad sound. No surprise for the Johan Cruijff Arena, though I thought the Stones sounded a little better there last year).

The latest single of our band Rough 'n Tumble: 'So Together'. A bit 'T Rex meets the Beach Boys' isn't it? With a psychedelic video by Marc Waltman, director of the movie 'Walking in the Opposite Direction', about the life of Adrian Borland (remember The Sound?). Hope you'll like it. RnT

QuoteVoodooLounge13 That electric looks like an old model. Wonder if it was used on any vintage albums. Seems like a three pick up Fender Jazzmaster. Very rare for the Stones. Can’t recall any pictures of them with a Jazzmaster

QuoteMonkeyMan2000 Here's our latest single "Brother and Sister". We released the corresponding music video today: Hope you guys like it! I know many people on here don't really like 80's Disco, so I guess the kind of music we played when we started might be preferable to some : Cheers to all! Well done! Both got a nice vintage vibe
