Hey Roller99, Does it include any of the fan interviews that were conducted upstairs at the Fonda before the show? My daughter and I were called in to the interview to talk about how the song Brown Sugar had impacted our lives. I am hoping that interview appears in the bonus material.

I remember BS at that show as really standing out. I think I mentioned something about that in the review I wrote on the show. At 7 minutes, that is a long rave-up. Sometimes it gets boring when they go on and on like that for BS. But at the Fonda it was great. That is reflected in this video. I'll never forget that show.

Quotekdsalter I saw them for the first time at the Anaheim shows (or should I call them the "shoes" -- inside joke if you were there). I remember a banner celebrating Mick's upcoming birthday. He was turning 35. My God, that seemed so old and over the hill to me at the time. Way too old to rock and roll. Here is the shoe story:

From: Rolling Stones: new live approach While Olé Olé Olé is out this week, the 2015 Rolling Stones concert at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles is expected in the fall. This concert is still the only one in which the Rolling Stones have played the entire Sticky Fingers album live. Filmed and directed by Paul Dugdale to whom we owe many other filmed releases of the band (Sweet Summer Su

Hey Exilestones, So I was disappointed by the SFL album. I don't think it sounded anywhere near as good as the show itself. I am hoping some of the magic of that night translates to the DVD better than it did to the audio recording. But I wonder, did the reason it sounded so extraordinary that night 2 years and 1 week ago stem from the excitement of just being there? Or was the band

The bonus material will probably be interviews with the fans, held in upstairs studio at the Fonda, a few hours before the show. My daughter and I responded to a call for interviews on "What eacch song on Sticky Fingers means to you?" We told our story about Brown Sugar. Each song was addressed by a different fan or pair of fans. Our reward for doing the interview was being allowed

Mick joked about doing a "Satanic Majesties Request" tour at the Fonda show. Yes that was funny, but damn it -- I love that album. So I just covered two of the songs. I know, my singing voice is awful. But that doesn't stop me from singing. And if you can't stand it, well your in good company! Here they are: Citadel and 2000 Light Years from Home, performed by yours trul

Quotegotdablouse Fantastic album ! Sounds almost "too good", but they technically had little time to mess with it so...Now I do wonder why Denson'solo in CYHMk is so groovy here and rather "pedestrian" in the shows? I don't think we've heard from any of the lucky Fonda guests yet, how does the recording sound compared to what you remember? I suppose that all

QuoteStoneburst A couple of initial thoughts: 1) Sister Morphine is absolutely brilliant, some of the best slide work I've ever heard from Ronnie. There's no point comparing it to the original because he and Ry Cooder are totally different players - the important thing is that it's unmistakably Wood playing, it's instantly recognisable as such. That sort of personality is w

Quotebonddm I'm definitely a Taylorite, but Ronnie was absolutely on fire on this gig. The performance is so good, I'll happily double-dip if/when they release it again in other formats! I am a Taylorite, too. But I was at this show and, as the recording indicates, Ron Wood was absolutely brilliant on everything (except CYHMK). After 40 years I guess I can finally get used to the id

Quotewinter Now that the Fonda attendees here have started to be able to reflect on the show a bit, I was wondering if any of you could weigh in on instrumentation for the gig. 1. You Gotta Move: KR on 12-string acoustic for YGM. Did Ronnie also play slide (electric) on this? 2. I Got the Blues: Was it CL or MC who took the organ solo on IGTB? If MC, did he also break it out for JJF? 3.
