Quotedcba Quotedeardoctor I love DW. Ged rid of that, add some outtakes and you get a masterpiece Yeah but which ones? Keith's rather boring reggae tunes he brought to Paris? The alt-band's quite good soulful tunes recorded in NY? Mick's radio-friendly and soooo 80's songs like the new "Nobody's Perfect"? They have nothing in common and nothing close to

I love DW. It´s about the bad production, tons of reverb and awful synthesizers. Ged rid of that, add some outtakes and yoou get a masterpiece. I don´t care about ABB and "Blue and Lonesome". I alway would choose DW!

Quotedcba QuoteKRiffhard Maybe "I need you", " Misty Roads", "Not the way to go", " Fiji Jim", "Keep it cool", " Stop that"... These last two are from 82 so logically they should not be on a TY reissue. If Mick considers TY to be the sole "reworkable" album since SG he might sweep everything in the vaults from 77 to 81

QuoteRedhotcarpet QuoteMonsoon Ragoon QuoteRedhotcarpet Keith never slept with Marianne. He tried to make it sound like he got back at Mick but of course he didnt. He took to heroin and came up with the basic idea of Gimme Shelter. Did you observe him every night? No but ive observed him through the eyes of a devoted fan who grew up. Unlike our hero. Haha, that's so true! I feel the

whow, I must admit, I prefer this version to the one from stripped. Not 100% sure about the voice, but if it´s a fake, it´s a really convincing one. I wish you´re wrong in seeing this as a fake

It took me a few days to click this thread, because I´m not interested in Jazz. Ok, I learned in fact it´s not about Jazz, but I won´t revisit. This thread is not a nice place....

Full-playback in a hall in Germany (was it Kiel?) in the early morning. No audience. Hot stuff-video was recorded as well, so they did three tracks.

Some tracks are edited: Hot stuff among them. Great live whip and rarities. I prefer the ER Dance to If I was a dancer.

QuoteRocktiludrop QuoteDandelionPowderman Where is this version from? This is brilliant, so disappointing Mick refused to persevere with this, Keith and Ronnie really playing it well, Mick perhaps uncomfortable with becoming familiar with new lyrics of a Keith song and throws it in the trash. Same with One More Shot but with Won't Take Long it's a travesty because regardless o

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteMadMax Well they certainly never captured the crawling king snake-vibes on Love Is Strong live, which is really strange. It shouldn't be a difficult song to do should it?? The MTV Video Music Awards-version was the nearest they got, imo. Quite good. It´s about the voice: Mick feels uncomfortbly in singing in the low key which is a need for the verses.

Quotewindmelody Maybe I was lucky, but when I heard the Stones live in 1998 and 1999, each time Mick Jagger's voice was great, same goes for Licks. good? yes But: too much controlled. In the seventies he was miles better - rough and dangerous

QuoteIrix QuoteDandelionPowderman Was All About You a bonus track on the Buenos Aires-DVD (or was it San Jose?)? It was a bonus track on 'Bridges to Bremen' - . Yes it was included as a bonus, but unfortunately Keith missed some lines and did a noddling instead. Not a good version. There are far better ones out there (St. Louis Dec. 97 etc.)

QuoteGasLightStreet Zero. Like Heartbreaker, Love Is Strong, Sway and She Was Hot, it's one of those songs they just can't perform live worth a damn. Heartbreaker was very well performed until 1995. After Millenium it got weak. (Same with IORR, Tumbling dice and other) Rest of the list I agree. In it´s studio-version She´s so cold got "roll" and "swing"

QuoteTeaAtThree For years this has frustrated me. It has always seemed that this album has several sonic flaws: 1. It overall feels muffled, like all the microphones were wrapped in cloth. 2. There is very little bottom end. It has no balls. 2. The lead vocals have a thin quality -- or Mick is using a vocal affectation that simply doesn't exist on the albums on either side in time. And

Quotecrawdaddy Not being that great at burning CD's etc. could anyone tell me if there are any audio links for Living in a ghost town and Eazy Sleazy. I know there are the youtube videos but can't put them on a CD for the audio as far as I know. Was gonna put them on the Outtakes Extra 10 tracks as tracks 11 and 12. Any answers very much appreciated. Try this

QuoteHairball Been listening to cd 3 quite a bit lately, and I came to the conclusion that Too Many Cooks has always been one of my absolute top favorite Mick solo tracks. I came to that same conclusion many years ago, but realized it again after hearing so much of it lately. The funny thing is that even with the John Lennon as producer connection, it's not that great of a song. It sounds

QuoteErik_Snow I'm surprised how much I dig Living In THe Heart Of Love now. The bootleg versions I didn't appreciate, it was like a parody of Rolling Stones, but this version here, has so much better vocals from Jagger, and playing from Taylor, I changed my mind completely about this song. that´s quite interesting how different we feel about music. For me, this "new" versi

Quotegotdablouse Since there still seems to be some confusion they only reversed the channels on the old booted track of course so as to match the version on FFSO and make them flow naturally, unlike yours which has that oddness (180 panning) where they merge. As I stated before, it´s a good idea to reverse altough it´s just a guitar tone BEFORE the start. It must be very important for you as y
