Listened to the alternate "Start me up" which I enjoy a lot. Reminds me to "A harder they come" guitarwise. But: is that really Charlie playing on this? For me it does not sound like him, what do you think?

I'm happy we finally got a great sounding version of chantilly lace. Love that version. I will listen to the lost and found cd over the next days piece by piece...

QuoteDoxa QuoteTumblinDice76 On a side note everything Sir Paul has done past 1975 has been a total bore and everything past March 1970 has been a slight bore. What ever keeps you in the news Paul.... Haha.. When I consult my personal taste - a root for any objective judgement in the world of aesthetics naturally - I easily understand that BLUE&LONESOME is better than anything Sir Paul or h

strong stages: 1990 1994-95 1989 1997-99 2005-07 2013-2016(?) rather weak: 2017-? 2002-03 1982 and earlier BUT: Keep stages cheap AND PRICES CHEAP! Instead we now got cheap stages AND expensive prices...

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTheflyingDutchman I miss the Stones between 1969 and 1974. Jezus. The 1974 stage left a lot to be desired, though I don´t think so, because if the 1974-stage would have been a bit higher, Charlie would not get drowned in bubbles...

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotedeardoctor Now we know two things: - There won"t be a remix of TY in the next years (I was hoping for it as Giles Martin did a great job. Maybe he was too expensive? Every Stones-album would deserve it, especially Dirty work.) - There won't be any Deluxe-versions of IORR or BAB as the great Outtakes of that period inclusive Scarlet are out of the bag

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotesnarf2014 Let's listen first and then judge. Tattoo You was all redone vocals so what's the point? I prefer to listen to a finished track. The vocals weren't "redone" - they hadn't been done. Facts matter. Well I remember former vocals at least: waiting on a friend (quite unfinished), slave ("I wanna be your slave" instead of

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Quotejbwelda oh yeah that Flashpoint + collectibles cd, I have that, had forgotten about it because I don't think I even played it, having all the "collectible" material already. Fancy Man Blues is ok, not up to Cook Cook Blues in my view. Edit to add, just listened to Fancy Man Blues, and yep, another great hidden track. jb So I was listening to a b

QuoteStonesfan2146 ACDC added many lesser known songs when Brian Jones was replaced by Axl Rose and played a 22 song set instead of a 19 song set. This is a funny mistake!

I revisited this album today. Played it loud in the car. It's so much better than I remembered. Sterile and thin? That's what I remembered but NO, it's just great! Best live versions of SMU, BS, MY, Sympathy, Satisfaction, the other tracks are decent. I don't care about pverdubs and I love Highwire and Sex drive.

Quotedcba Quotedeardoctor I love DW. Ged rid of that, add some outtakes and you get a masterpiece Yeah but which ones? Keith's rather boring reggae tunes he brought to Paris? The alt-band's quite good soulful tunes recorded in NY? Mick's radio-friendly and soooo 80's songs like the new "Nobody's Perfect"? They have nothing in common and nothing close to

Quotedcba QuoteKRiffhard Maybe "I need you", " Misty Roads", "Not the way to go", " Fiji Jim", "Keep it cool", " Stop that"... These last two are from 82 so logically they should not be on a TY reissue. If Mick considers TY to be the sole "reworkable" album since SG he might sweep everything in the vaults from 77 to 81

QuoteRedhotcarpet QuoteMonsoon Ragoon QuoteRedhotcarpet Keith never slept with Marianne. He tried to make it sound like he got back at Mick but of course he didnt. He took to heroin and came up with the basic idea of Gimme Shelter. Did you observe him every night? No but ive observed him through the eyes of a devoted fan who grew up. Unlike our hero. Haha, that's so true! I feel the
