The parent company I basically work for just filed chapter 7 liquidation in NYC on Friday. Looks like I am fortunate in that I am in Collections, so should have a job for a few more weeks. But in the words of our CFO ...it is only a matter of time. Actually, it is really bad timing as I flew to NY on Friday AM & was going to see Tim Ries tomorrow but was called back to FL on Sunday. Its real

That was my first show as well. Dad took us (4) kids out of school (Jr. High) & we drove down from CT. It really was a gorgous day. Interesting to hear the show now. Can't really comment on the horns .but will say Hampton '81 is one of my all time favorite show of any band. I thought Ernie Watts was phenominal on Beast Of Burden, Just my Imagination, YCAGWYW. I have heard the co

The version is of Factory Girl is just a snippet on the bonus feature ..as is the Wild Horses. WH starts w/ Keith on guitar then Mick adds some harp & finally Ronnie joins in if my memory serves me well. No lyrics sung.

Ok I am making up for lost time (see Ana Moura post) Maybe I missed it ..but I am the only one who really enjoyed the version of Factory Girl on Shine Light?! I wish the Stones would do more of that kind thing. The laid back, stripped down version would have been great to hear ..especially in a (Beacon) theater setting. I found the Wild Horsers version interesting as Mick played a lot of harp

Funny you should mention that song. I have been traveling a bit so central america ...and when I came back I found that I was singing & playing this song often. Not all of the stuff I play sounds great ..but I have to admit that this # sounded pretty good! To borrow a Keith line ."I could get behind it". Although it is not considered one of their great songs ..Ireally enjoy it.

Can somebody pls post some 12/19 tunes on you send it? Can't imagine it being better ..but hope so. Bring back Ernie Watts!!

Bravo Winter ...well said. I love the Dead & most of their music. The parking lot scene is/was great. Many a guiatar player hanging out. I brought my guitar to a stones show in Florida a few years back & not only did I not see any other players around ..I hardly saw anybody else. Everybody went right in! The Dead & Stones share simular influences & have covered many of the same so

Bravo Winter..well said. The scene in the parking lot of Dead shows was amazing. Many musicians hanging out & playing. I bought my guitar to a stones show in Fla a few years back ..& didn't see another one around. Everybody goes right into the areana at stones shows. Too bad since I know there were many a guitar player around. I think the Dead provide a treasure trove of inspiration
